Setting alarms? Pfft, amateur. As a fan of American football, UFC and the boxing my body clock is set to stay awake until 6am Saturday night/Sunday morning and utilise Sunday for what it’s for: a good lay in.

    Canelo v Crawford

The combined record of Canelo's past 10 opponents is quite astounding at 288-9-2.

He has handed William Scull, Edgar Berlanga, Jaime Munguia, Caleb Plant, Billy Joe Saunders and Callum Smith their first loss in the last five.

    Incredible.

Terence Crawford barely raised his voice this week. Calm, measured, almost bored of the cameras. He did his interviews, then said he just wanted to hit the golf course.

Not much for the limelight, not much for theatrics. Just business. But that’s what makes him dangerous - he’s not here to entertain in fight week, he’s here to take everything on fight night.

Crawford has always let his fists do the talking and tonight, history might do the talking for him.

    Canelo v Crawford

Terence Crawford has gone the distance 10 times in his 41 fights.

No judge has ever scored the fight for his opponent. That just shows you the magnitude of the task on Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez's hands now.

To add to my previous mention of atmosphere and to give you a real sense of how nuts it is here - I just nipped to the bathroom and all you can hear from every stall is "VIVA CANELOOOOO!"

  12. Eminem to make an appearance?published at 05:09 BST

What will Terence Crawford have in store for us tonight then?

During his walkout for the Errol Spence fight, legendary rapper Eminem walked Crawford to the ring.

Eminem then performed before Crawford beat Israil Madrimov.

    Same again, please.

Pretty sure we can hear some excellent instructions at ringside coming from Callum Walsh's partner, Tabatha Ricci.

    "Pressure Callum, pressure!"

No surprise there as Ricci is a UFC fighter. Walsh and Ricci met at a UFC event and are now living together, along with some goats and chickens.

“You can’t really tell her go clean the house. You get beat up for that," Walsh said of dating a fellow fighter.

"It is useful having someone who understands what you do. It’s a massive help.

"It’s not like someone’s [asking] why are you always in the gym, why are you always training, I want to go eat pizza why can’t you eat pizza? Both of us are professional athletes.

"Both of us have the same goal, we want to be the best in the world. She’s supports me, I support her. It makes it a lot easier."

Kal is 100% right about this atmosphere.

Terence Crawford has just appeared on the jumbotron warming up in his changing room and the boos were deafening.

He had similar at the weigh-in yesterday and still looked cool, calm and composed - it will be interesting to see how he handles this huge occasion.

  17. Crawford's best performance?published at 04:59 BST

    Canelo v Crawford

Is it fair to say Terence Crawford has flown under the radar for a boxing casual?

But, his performance against Errol Spence in July 2023, where he dismantled the then undefeated world champion, firmly put him on the map.

    Crawford at his best.

  18. Canelo's best performance?published at 04:57 BST

    Canelo v Crawford

What is Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez's best performance? Take your pick I guess.

Well, what about his win in the second Gennady Golovkin fight? After the first one ended in a draw, but many thought GGG should've got the nod.

After boxing on the back foot in the first encounter, Alvarez stood and traded with Golovkin to take the W by majority decision.

  19. Who will push the pace?published at 04:55 BST

The graphs below shows the punch output from Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez in his win over William Scull and Terence Crawford's output during his W against Israil Madrimov.

Many are suggesting Alvarez is slowing down, but Crawford's last win didn't produce a massive output either.

Crawford is a classy operator but Canelo is too big and too strong. Once Crawford feels that sort of power he'll realise he's in too deep. Canelo stoppage between rounds 7 & 9.
