I've just had to rewrite this entry because it was looking very likely that Chris Eubank Sr would not be in attendance tonight.

    Oh well, take two.

Nigel Benn, who faced Eubank Sr twice in the 1990s and will be in the corner of his son Conor Benn tonight, made a plea for his to show up earlier this week.

Did that help to make up his mind?

Breaking News: Chris Eubank Sr is here! My word, this is utter disbelief in the stadium as he departed from a car with his son.

Chris Eubank Sr is in the house.

We've just seen shots of Chris Eubank Jr and his father emerge from a lift in Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

    Who saw that one coming?!

Chris Eubank Jr v Conor Benn has captured the public's imagination. But one person who isn't sticking around is Chris Billam-Smith. He told me earlier this week that he'll be heading straight home to Bournemouth after his fight. His partner is pregnant so he wants to get back and help out with their toddler.

After his win over Brandon Glanton earlier tonight, he'll probably already be on the motorway.

    Dad of the year.

Chris Billam-Smith won the first fight of the evening against Brandon Glanton. The fight went the full distance and the Briton won via unanimous decision.

It's back to winning ways and the perfect way to respond after losing his WBO world title in November.

Two hours until the main event and the stadium really is filling out nicely. The acoustics here are rather incredible. Every cheer and every jeer bounces around the stands. Some bloke spilled his pint earlier. The echoed 'weheeeeey' from his mates was a sound of beauty.

A point has been deducted off Aaron McKena. John Latham [the referee] intermating to him that he is using the elbow to fend his man off illegally.

John Latham, after reading the rights act to him in one of the earlier rounds, has docked a point off of him in round six.

    Smith v McKenna

We're moving through the undercard at a decent rate.

Liam Smith and Aaron McKenna have just completed the sixth round of a scheduled 12.

McKenna might have taken each of those six rounds but he has been deducted a point, so we could be set for a very interesting second half of the contest.

  12. Why was the first fight cancelled?published at 20:02 British Summer Time 26 April

    Eubank v Benn

Chris Eubank Jr and Conor Benn were initially due to meet on 8 October but the fight was cancelled on 6 October after Benn returned what promoters said was an "adverse analytical finding for trace amounts of a fertility drug".

The British Boxing Board of Control (BBBofC) said the bout was "prohibited and not in the interests of boxing".

Benn has always denied intentionally doping and his provisional suspension was lifted in November 2024 following a two-year legal battle with UK Anti-Doping and the BBBofC.

Eubank and Benn are being tested by the Voluntary Anti-Doping Association (Vada) for tonight's contest.

BBC Sport arrived to the stadium around 18:00 BST. After going through all the necessary security searches (I was told my name wasn't on the list... turned out the fella had his thumb over my name), we were taken to the plush seats in the press box.

I'd say it was around a quarter full at that time. The undercard is definitely one for the boxing purists, and those keen followers took to their seats nice and early.

I came up with this idea a couple of weeks ago while ploughing through my career on a well-known boxing computer game, so I'm hoping I can get you all on board.

After being put up against Lyndon Arthur for the fifth time he had become my nemesis. I haven't been able to bring myself to facing him in the quintology (you don't get many of those in boxing).

But with Arthur on tonight's card in a trilogy fight against Anthony Yarde and no love lost between Chris Eubank Jr and Conor Benn, I'm keen to know who is your nemesis?

It could be in a sporting arena, on a computer game or even just in day-to-day life.

I said earlier that I'd keep you in the loop if we start lagging behind with the schedule and I'm not one to break a promise.

Liam Smith and Aaron McKenna were scheduled to make their ringwalks at around 19:25 BST, but they have only just made it into the ring - around 20 minutes late.

How do you see this middleweight contest playing out?

Thumbs up for Smith or thumbs down for McKenna.

We have a new British cruiserweight champion!

Viddal Riley is victorious against Cheavon Clarke in the second fight of the evening, winning the clash by unanimous decision.

As a Tottenham fan, victory in the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium makes it an extra special evening for the 27 year-old.

  18. When is Eubank v Benn?published at 19:26 British Summer Time 26 April

Chris Eubank Jr and Conor Benn will probably fight after 22:00 - if we start falling behind I'll keep you in the loop.

Benn, as he did as yesterday's weigh-in, is expected to walk first, with Eubank the second man to enter the stadium.

  19. Time for fists to do the talkingpublished at 19:11 British Summer Time 26 April

    Kal Sajad
BBC Sport at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

It has been nearly 1000 days since this fight was first agreed. So much has been said and done in that time that I don’t quite know where to begin.

The cancelled fight in 2022, the doping scandal, the egg slap, the missed weigh-in – after all the drama of the last two and half years, here we are. At around 22:00 BST at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Conor Benn and Chris Eubank Jr will let their fists do the talking.

These aren’t the two best fighters Britain has ever seen, but this is the biggest grudge match in a long time.

The family name is on the line.
