Jersey fourth in WCL Division Six after Kuwait defeat

Jersey went down to an eight run defeat against Kuwait in the third-fourth place play-off at the World Cricket League Division Six.

Kuwait won the toss and a half-century from Saad Khalid helped them to 212-9.

In reply Jersey youngster Corey Bisson (59) top scored but the islanders were bowled out in the final over just short of the target.

Both sides remain in Division Six, with Kuwait now 35th in the world while Jersey are a place beneath them.

Guernsey won the tournament and are promoted along with the hosts Malaysia.
