Northamptonshire have re-signed both India white-ball leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal and Australian pace bowler Harry Conway for various parts of the 2026 season.

Chahal is returning to Wantage Road for a third time following spells in the last two campaigns for the second half of the summer and will be available for the Steelbacks in the One-Day Cup and four-day formats.

The 35-year-old, who has taken more than 200 wickets for India in white-ball matches, said he was "so excited" to be rejoining the club again.

Sydney-born Conway, 26, is back for the first seven red-ball matches of 2026 after enjoying a successful four-game stint with Northants in May, taking 20 wickets at an average of 20.75.

Eight of those came on his debut against eventual Division Two champions Leicestershire, including a haul of 5-68 in the Foxes' first innings.

Chahal's spell with Northants last summer was cut short when he returned home because of personal reasons but Northants head coach Darren Lehmann is delighted to see him back.

"Yuzi is a magnificent asset to this squad," Lehmann said., external

"His record across his career speaks for itself and he brings so much class and experience to the group and for young spinners in the group like Nirvan Ramesh and Stuart van der Merwe, having Yuzi around to guide them will be a huge plus for their game."

Conway's second stint at Northants will initially last two months and Lehmann said his compatriot would be an "excellent addition" for next season.

"His form last year was fantastic, and I am excited to work with him for a longer period," Lehmann said., external

"His ability to take wickets on all surfaces and presence around the team makes him an invaluable player."
