Was he getting carried away when hitting the 64 off 28, or just when he got out? Smith effectively ensured this game is done.

It’s a brilliant innings from Smith, don’t get me wrong…..BUT 64 off 28 could be 130 not out off 100 at the end just by knocking it around now. The final tick to his box as a player is game management. He got carried away! Still a fantastic talent.

What I like about that is that it was a slower ball, he had to wait a fraction of time, rode it out and then hit it big.

I think the only pressure here is to get the clean sweep. If anything, you just want the players to play their normal way because they are naturally aggressive players.

There's been a little bit of sloppy fielding from the West Indies.

It feels like this Oval crowd has just settled into their late-evening slump now with the Smith pyrotechnics over. They're quiet until Ben Duckett flicks the final ball of this over off his pads and through the hands of another fumbling fielder for four.

    Ah.

It was thrilling but Jamie Smith goes having one heave too many as spinner Gudakesh Motie fires one through him. Smith has to depart for 64 from just 28 balls.

Tricky. You bowl one just slightly short and you get smacked. Jamie Smith sensed that Gudakesh Motie was trying to find his length and punished him for it.
