He did all the hard work but couldn't keep it. At least there's some positive signs for the West Indies.

Dropped on the boundary. And it goes for four.

Sherfane Rutherford is the guilty party at fine leg. He had to run to his left but once he got there with two hands he should have taken it.

Incredible shot really. Ben Duckett got himself in a bit of a tangle, decided to take one hand off the bat and take a swing at it. It ended up being a swat and he's middle it.

Alzarri Joseph was West Indies best bowler on Sunday but now his first two deliveries have gone for six.

This is a Roger Federer-style single-handed backhand as one glove comes off the bat as Ben Duckett swings to leg.

It can be so difficult for the bowlers in the powerplay, especially on a surface like this where anything that is slightly out will get hit big.

Now Ben Duckett gets in on the act as he top-edges a six over the keeper.

This ball has been lost under the covers too.

Jamie Smith and Ben Duckett are very complementary openers in terms of their strengths. Duckett’s average interception point against seamers is around 1.77m which is amongst the deepest in world cricket while Jamie Smith’s is far ahead, around 2.10m. Duckett prefers playing his shots square of the wicket with only around 18% of his career runs against pacers coming in the ‘V’ in front of the wicket. For Jamie Smith, the corresponding number is 32% in his brief ODI career.

After a short break while the umpires find a new ball, Jayden Seales does at least get out of the over without any further damage.

Jayden Seales went for the short ball ploy but Jamie Smith read it. That is a big hit.

Smashed for six! I think this has bounced in the stands and gone out of the ground.

When Jamie Smith is on form, it's really difficult to find the right length. It can be difficult to find a ball that he won't send to the boundary.

Two more boundaries to Jamie Smith! The second one sends the pigeons scattering.

Smith has hit eight fours in his first 17 deliveries.

You can see what they see in Jamie Smith as an opener. Such a clean ball striker, and has proven in the Test game he can build an innings too.
