Should the total come down due to WI getting 25% of their overs during Poweplay 1? England will only get 20% with the same fielding restrictions

    Matt in High Wycombe

Shouldn't England's target be higher than 252? England know from the outset how many overs they've got; West Indies didn't.

Still waiting. I'm starting to think we might not get a change.

Anyone got a working DLS app?

Still waiting for confirmation. Either way, the West Indies are in this game because of Gudakesh Motie's knock.

The England target might even come down. Don't ask me why.

Hang on, might have gone early with that 252. Forgot about the DLS issue...

Gudakesh Motie, who rescued his side when all was despair, has to go. Went for the big swing and it's just clipped the top.

He and Alzarri Joseph have given the West Indies a defendable total.

    Bowled off the last ball!

A clever back-of-the-hand slower ball from Matthew Potts has Gudakesh Motie through his shot, but that takes nothing away from a superb knock.

Motie has given West Indies more than a sniff in this game. England will need 252 to win.

Arjun Singh: Please can you tell me what Motie averages against England? He seems to turn into Sir Garfield Sobers against us.

He averages 34 against England in ODIs, Arjun, and 63 in Test cricket (by virtue of not being dismissed).

  9. WI 250-8published at 39.3 overs

Motie squeezes Potts behind square on the off side. Windies scamper three to reach 250. That looked a long way away an hour ago.

After those warnings for the over-rate earlier, Harry Brook clearly has it on his mind. He held both arms in the air after that catch was taken to tell his fielders to stay in the deep.

Maybe it's partly because they're fielding next to each other in the ring but it's also notable how much Brook has been talking to Ben Duckett in the field.

That partnership ended with 91 from 11.2 overs which is the highest from an eight-wicket partnership against England in an ODI.

This fine partnership has been broken. One that has brought the West Indies back into the game after that abysmal start. High in the air and easily taken by Matthew Potts.

    Finally.

A stand of 91 is over and Alzarri Joseph is out. Shorter from Saqib Mahmood, Joseph hits it straight up and Matthew Potts moves back from short third to take the skier.

    Potts catches pigeons.
