And now Tammy Beaumont is back in the hutch!

Mahika Gaur is given 10 balls to start and it's a very shrewd move by Originals captain Beth Mooney.

Another England batter is done for as Beaumont nicks behind to Mooney.

One of my favourite shots in the game - pulling it off the front foot.

James Vince deposited the ball a long way in front of square - that shows he saw the ball well.

Classic cricket shots and Vince is waiting for the bad balls.

  3. Brave 12-1published at 10 balls

It was 33 degrees when I arrived in our office in Salford an hour ago. It looks like a murky May day in Southampton. Jofra Archer has a hoodie on as he watches James Vince pull for four from the dressing room.

That's so frustrating from Sophia Dunkley. There was minimal foot movement, big swing outside off stump. She's trying to get the ball over the in-field, get a boundary, but she just didn't get enough of it. In the end a simple catch for Danielle Gregory.

Mahika Gaur has struck earlier for the visiting Manchester Originals against winless Welsh Fire.

A loose drive from England team-mate Sophia Dunkley is pouched by Dani Gregory at gully.

Tom Lawes is going to replace Jacob Duffy for the next five balls with Brave skipper James Vince on strike for the first time.

Jason Roy makes cricket look at easy at times. He splits the two fielders at cover and extra. Harry Brook did his best to chase the ball down to the boundary, but he wasn't able to catch up with it.

Jason Roy drives his first ball for four to give Duffy a bump back down to earth.

Leus du Plooy used his feet to create some room through the off-side and it wasn't successful.

Jacob Duffy taking a wicket in the powerplay - brilliant start for him.

Du Plooy b Duffy (Brave 1-1)

Played on! It's a dream start on debut for Jacob Duffy as Leus du Plooy gets an inside edge onto leg stump attempting a thrash through the off side.

  11. Brave 0-0published at 1 ball

Jacob Duffy, who has been playing for New Zealand in Zimbabwe, is going to start with the ball through the smokey, firework-induced murk.

it may be a quirk of the numbers but he is currently the top-ranked T20 bowler in the world.

The wicket is a bit slow, and it gripped a bit for the spinners the other day. The slower balls for the seamers will come into the game and it's not a high-scoring pitch.

Miss last night? It was one of the best finishes of the tournament so far.

Liam Livingstone took down Rashid Khan to power Birmingham Phoenix to an unlikely win.

Afterwards he said Tom Curran had sledged him by calling him a fat slob. What drama.

The floodlights are on in Southampton and it's very gloomy.

There has been a bit of drizzle too. The heatwave in the other parts of the country has not made it to the south coast.

    They look ideal bowling conditions.
