The umpires had their umbrellas securely wrapped up as they wandered out for a chinwag.

And the hover cover is coming off!

Is it raining at Lord's? The players have retreated back into the pavilion, there's a couple of umbrellas up in the crowd, and the hover cover is out.

Keep the crepe chat coming everyone.

Controversial opinion. Ketchup is evil and belongs nowhere near food.

Anyway, back to the cricket (reluctantly).

This is how South Africa finished the morning session. Will they come out after lunch with the same intent?

I used to enjoy ham cheese and ketchup in my crepe, surprisingly delicious.

What's the conference for, James? Or will that blow your cover?

Re mushroom sauce - there's an episode of Top Cat which features the quote "with mushroom sauce yet - where? where? where?".

My dad loves a mushroom sauce on a crepe - completely wrong in my book!

Is it too far to suggest pineapple on a crepe? Even better with some ham and mozzarella!

Crepes - Caviar and sour cream. Nothing else is better!!

Cheese and baked beans - I have concerns about the structural integrity. Surely a knife and fork situation.

Mince in gravy - Big thumbs up here. I've eaten a slice of beef on a crepe before and we were debating the merits of a roast dinner crepe earlier.

Nutella and lime - Curious. Would try.

My son loves cheese and baked beans on a savoury pancake. Is that better or worse than tuna and sweetcorn?

Being from Yorkshire it’s got to be with mince in gravy.

Nutella and freshly squeezed lime on my pancakes. It's like a chocolate lime boiled sweet. Delicious.

However, arguably today's biggest talking point - and the recap I know you've all be waiting for - has been Crepegate.

    So far we've learned...

    • Lemon and sugar - a classic
    • Orange and sugar - divisive but shades of a Crepe Suzette
    • Tuna - just plain wrong

Temba Bavuma had a different intent. 36 is a significant contribution in this game, so far.

He took the initiative away from Australia and it's a very good session for South Africa.

You can't take anything for granted in this game.

  16. Morning session recap...published at 12:42 British Summer Time 12 June

So what's happened so far on day two?

Well, South Africa resumed on 43-4 and only lost one wicket in the first session. Captain Temba Bavuma, who successfully overturned an lbw decision early on, was caught by Marnus Labuschagne for 36.

However, they've reached lunch without further loss, with David Bedingham looking solid on 39 (95) and Kyle Verreynne on 11.

South Africa are 121-5 and trail Australia by 91 runs.

The game is close to parity.

Whoever gets the first innings lead will have a slight psychological advantage but we have a game here, which didn't look likely last night.

Even though we're on the stroke of lunch, David Bedingham wasn't going to turn that one down.

What a way to end the session, and it belongs to South Africa.

They haven't let Australia get away from them. David Bedingham has played superbly.
