The big difference, Suresh, is that India batted first that day.

That said this is the same pitch on which India chased down a similar total against Pakistan with relative ease so New Zealand will have their work cut out for them.

This is exactly a repeat match of last Sunday, India using all the spinners again. And the final result should be the same.

India bowler Varun Chakravarthy: "It was a good wicket. All I could do was stick to the line of the stumps and wait for the batter to make a mistake. I like bowing in the powerplay, it's more challenging and gives me more opportunity to take wickets. I enjoy that phase.

"I'm pretty new to the setup so I'm looking to build new bonds. I think it's a gettable score if we bat well initially."

    Thanks, Ffion.

It does look like it will require something special from New Zealand to defend that total given the quality of the India batting line up and their prowess in the chase.

However, perhaps they can cling to the fact that the pitch may slow up and, with four spin options at their disposal, they can at least make life difficult for Rohit Sharma's men and hope the pressure tells.

India are favourites at the halfway mark but under the pressure of a final, who knows?

New Zealand are without leading wicket-taker Matt Henry, but still boast one of the most consistent bowling attacks, which could set up an intriguing contest.

I'm going to take a break, and leave you with Sam Drury to expertly guide you through the interval and the beginning of India's chase.

280 felt more of a par score so India will be happy with that. They have master chasers in their side.

  7. NZ 251-7published at 50 overs

Bracewell's knock has given New Zealand a chance.

A scrappy innings, once again dominated by India's spinners, who were in control throughout.

India need 252 to win the Champions Trophy.

    NZ 249-7

A vital half-century from Michael Bracewell.

It comes from just 39 balls and he is the only New Zealand batter who has looked truly comfortable on this surface.

  9. NZ 243-7published at 49.1 overs

    Sliced for four!

Good start to the final over from New Zealand and Bracewell, who moves to 48.

Mitchell Santner is run out trying to sneak an optimistic second run and to keep Bracewell on strike for the final over.

Virat Kohli fields at deep mid-wicket and KL Rahul gratefully whips off the bails with New Zealand's skipper well short of his ground.

    Huge!

Too short from Hardik Pandya and Michael Bracewell launches it over the ropes.

A handy cameo from Michael Bracewell so far.

He has 35 from 33 balls.

  13. NZ 227-6published at 48 overs

    Streaky but effective from Bracewell.

He steps across his stumps for a pre-meditated ramp, which Mohammed Shami reads well and fires in a full delivery. But Bracewell just gets enough on it for the ball to fly down to fine leg for four.

    Two overs to go.

  14. NZ 216-6published at 47 overs

There's some attempted aggression from Bracewell and Santner but they can't get any much-needed boundaries from Kuldeep Yadav's final over.

    He finishes with 2-40.

That's a real blow for New Zealand. Daryl Mitchell was set and has been in for 101 balls.

That was a much better ball from Mohammed Shami.

Oh, Daryl Mitchell is livid with himself.

He slams his bat into his pads in frustration, having chipped a slower ball from Shami straight to cover.

He'd already taken 10 from the first three balls so that is a soft dismissal.

  18. NZ 211-5published at 45.3 overs

It's not great bowling from Shami.

Too short again and with no fine leg in place, Daryl Mitchell just helps it round the corner for another boundary.

Things are heating up now for the last five overs of this game, and if they get 10 an over they'll still only get 250.

There was a lot of talk earlier today about how 300 would be a good score but those three early wickets slowed them down.

  20. NZ 205-5published at 45.1 overs

    That'll do.

A horrible short ball from Mohammed Shami sits up nicely for Daryl Mitchell to club for a one-bounce four.
