    Another Australian wicket falls!

Yet again, one of their batters hits straight to a fielder - it's Beth Mooney this time, picking Melie Kerr out at extra cover off Lea Tahuhu.

Having been 81-1 at the end of the powerplay, the world champions have lost four wickets for 47.

This is an intriguingly poised game now. After the start that Australia had you thought it was dangerous times but New Zealand have pulled things back.

Australia need to navigate how they want to play thing from here with the experience they have.

  3. Aus 127-4published at 21 overs

    Nicely driven from Ash Gardner.

She sends Melie Kerr through the covers for a second boundary.

It really is a quick outfield here - not only is it quick off the square, but there's also a number of practice strips dotted around the deep.

  4. Aus 120-4published at 20 overs

A four to get Ash Gardner going.

She pushes Lea Tahuhu's delivery through the covers and it races away across the quick outfield, beating the diving Brooke Halliday on the ropes.

The New Zealand fielder got a hand to that and maybe could have stopped the boundary.

Cricket can change so quickly. I would give Melie Kerr another over here if I was captain, let her have a long stint.

  6. Aus 114-4published at 19 overs

Ash Gardner comes out at six for Australia.

Melie Kerr's first delivery to her is a wide, but the next two are dots - 20 of the spinner's 30 legitimate balls have been scoreless.

That is a terrible shot. Annabel Sutherland will be very disappointed.

Sophie Devine has been excellent with field placement and Australia are under the pump.

  8. wicket

    Sutherland c Bates b M Kerr 5 (Aus 113-4)

    Set up indeed, Abhishek!

Annabel Sutherland hit Melie Kerr's first ball for four through the covers, but the next two are dots and the fourth takes the wicket.

The all-rounder lofts the ball straight to Suzie Bates at mid-on, who takes the ball straight in front of her face.

Melie Kerr is setting up quite nicely - she has managed to pull her length back and is setting Annabel Sutherland up. She will bowl a quicker googly at one point.

  10. Aus 109-3published at 18 overs

Annabel Sutherland walks to the crease, joining Beth Mooney who is on 10 from 15 balls.

The Australian number five faces three dot deliveries, then retains the strike with a single out to deep square leg.

Here's Melie Kerr for a fifth successive over - she has figures of 1-18 thus far.

Lea Tahuhu changed last minute there and rolled her finger over the delivery. It was slower than Ellyse Perry expected and that is why she mis-timed the delivery.

Pressure is back on Australia now.

    Straight up in the air!

Lea Tahuhu's delivery holds a little in the pitch and Ellyse Perry skies a chance out to mid-off.

It's Suzie Bates under the ball and she sets herself and takes the catch fingers up, falling back as she does so.

    Tahuhu roars in delight.

Melie Kerr has been the pick of the bowlers, for sure. Sophie Devine needs to be careful about when she uses her.

This Australia side will be aiming for anything over 350.

  14. Aus 107-2published at 17 overs

Edged... but it goes for four.

Melie Kerr finds the outside of Ellyse Perry's bat, but the ball flies through an empty slip region and goes to the ropes.

In one-day cricket, you have to try and bowl as straight as possible to bring the stumps and pads into play. That's what New Zealand need to do - and bowl as many dot balls as possible.

They need another wicket or two to put the pressure on Australia.

  16. Aus 101-2published at 16 overs

Lea Tahuhu comes on to bowl after drinks, and Beth Mooney finds a single in the covers from her fourth delivery, bringing up Australia's hundred.

The world champions had reached 81 after 60 balls - the next 19 runs took 34 deliveries.

That is poor. Melie Kerr has bowled so well - it is not nice to give away easy boundaries like that when you have built pressure.

    Oh dear.

Beth Mooney cuts Melie Kerr straight to Eden Carson at point, but the New Zealand fielder lets the ball straight through her legs and it runs away for four.

The players are taking drinks at the end of the over.

  19. Aus 93-2published at 14 overs

Sophie Devine's first two overs went for 18, but now we're outside the powerplay her next two have gone for just six.

Two singles and a wide in this one.

New Zealand are such an inspiring team. Ben Sawyer has done a really great job as coach.

They have stuck with things and always find a way - they are a very resilient team.
