Meg Lanning has struggled to start quickly in her last few innings. Off the first 20 balls of her innings, she managed just 14 against the Trent Rockets, 19 against the Northern Superchargers, and 19 again today before being dismissed. Interestingly, she was on 19 off 20 balls in this reverse fixture earlier this season before accelerating later. Not today, though.

  2. Invincibles 43-1published at 40 balls

Brilliant 10 so far from Charlie Dean to give her figures of 1-3.

Alice Capsey is the new batter and she's off the mark first ball with a single.

Plenty of work for the Invincibles to do with the innings approaching the halfway stage.

Really nice bowling from Charlie Dean.

Slower through the air pace, and it tempted Meg Lanning to hit it over mid-off.

An off spinner's dream when you take the catch. Great execution.

  4. wicket

    Lanning c & b Dean 19 (Invincibles 42-1)

That's the big wicket for London Spirit!

Tossed up again by Charlie Dean and Meg Lanning tries to thump it back down the ground.

It's too full for the shot, though, and she ends up chipping it back to the Spirit skipper.

    Straightforward catch for Dean.

Really nice shot from Paige Scholfield. Wong has been targeting her with the short ball.

That time, Paige Scholfield was set up and waiting for it. She timed it beautifully for six runs.

    Invincibles 42-0published at 35 balls

    Scholfield 21, Lanning 19

    Nailed it!

Banged in short by Issy Wong and Paige Scholfield was ready and waiting for it.

Beautiful sound off the bat as she pulls it high over deep mid-wicket for six!

A great area to target someone like Sarah Glenn, who is not a huge turner of the ball. Issy Wong tried her best, but it raced away.

  8. Invincibles 32-0published at 30 balls

    Four more!

Tossed up by Sarah Glenn and Paige Scholfield drills in through the covers.

There's very little turn for Glenn and the Spirit batters are pouncing any time she misses her line or length.

Meg Lanning isn't going to miss out on that. Pressure on Sarah Glenn from ball one.

  10. Invincibles 27-0published at 26 balls

Too short from Sarah Glenn to start and Meg Lanning goes back and pulls it behind square for four.

  11. Invincibles 23-0published at 25 balls

More good fielding from London Spirit as they continue to squeeze the Oval Invincibles openers.

It's Kira Chathli this time racing around the boundary to cut off Meg Lanning heave into the leg side.

The ball was in the air for a while but landed safely and Chathli did well.

Powerplay over, no wickets but some disciplined bowling from the visitors.

London Spirit are creating some pressure. It feels OK from both sides' perspective.

Oval Invincibles will want to maximise these last five balls of the batting powerplay.

Very good start from Charlie Dean.

Just a couple of runs from the Spirit skipper's first five.

  14. Invincibles 19-0published at 15 balls

Excellent fielding from Kate Coppack at short third, diving to her left to deny Meg Lanning another boundary.

It means there are just three from Eva Gray's first five balls. Here comes the off-spin of Charlie Dean...

The Oval Invincibles will be looking for a better response from their batting unit. In their first four games, they averaged 35.23, the best for any team; however, in their last three games, they have averaged just 12.8, the lowest for any team.

I'm excited to see what Kate Coppack does on her debut. She is a pretty good domestic player.

She will be buzzing to get a go in The Hundred. Spirit feel that this surface warrants the extra seamer.

  17. Invincibles 16-0published at 10 balls

Frustration for Kate Coppack and that's added to a couple of balls later when Paige Scholfield pounces on a short, wide delivery and thrashes it to the boundary.

A bit of luck but a good start for the Invincibles.

A missed opportunity there. It did go quickly through to Georgia Redmayne, but she will be disappointed to put that down.

That would have been a dream start for Kate Coppack.

  19. dropped catch

Lanning dropped on 5published at 6 balls

    Invincibles 10-0

That could be a costly one!

Nearly the dream start for Kate Coppack on debut as she bowls full to Meg Lanning, entices the drive and finds the edge.

Georgia Redmayne dives to her right behind the stumps but puts down the catch.

Decent recovery from Issy Wong. Just three more from the last three balls of the first five.
