Joe Root will have to wait for his century but he doesn't care.

You have 20 minutes to do whatever you need to do.

Glorious. What a straight drive that is from Joe Root.

Mohammed Siraj flinging himself to his left, but it was beautifully timed.

    This is a game.

A two and then four through the slips.

Joe Root's dad is living every moment in the stands. He's lad is into the nineties.

India have one review remaining now.

    Here we go.

An lbw review against Joe Root. I think he's outside the line but this is huge.

  11. Postpublished at 15:53 British Summer Time 3 August

In isolation this looks horrible but you could see the thinking. He had got himself in and if he whacked a quick 30 before India had the chance for a breather at tea the game really was done.

Good solid defence from Jacob Bethell. We've been saying that England wouldn't want the break but I don't know what they'd prefer now.

    This series, ey?

Mid-off and mid-on coming in, but they just couldn't get there.

You couldn't have lobbed it there more perfectly.

'He's got away with it somehow' - Bethell sees toe end nick land safely over bowler

Blimey. This is a huge slice of luck for England.

Jacob Bethell toe-ends a pull shot and somehow the ball lands over the bowler's head by the stumps at the non-striker's.

That could have gone anywhere. Akash Deep slipped too which gave him no hope of getting there.

    This'll calm your nerves.

Joe Root drives in perfect fashion through the covers for four.

If he remains England will win. Simple.

Smile on Jacob Bethell's face. I bet the old ticker is going a bit. He has waited a long time and now he's into the arena. He looks calm.

India have been lifted by that wicket and are loud again in the field.

Mohammed Siraj tries the yorker that he dismissed Bethell with in the first innings (see below) but the youngster defends before breaking into a cheeky grin.

Bethell gets off the mark a ball later.
