    #bbccricket

A busy moving day in the sixth round of the Championship with wins for Hampshire, Worcestershire and Somerset in Division One.

Division Two leaders Leicestershire completed an emphatic win at Lord's - their fourth of the season - to march on, while Glamorgan eased past Northants.

But still so much left on the fourth and final day with Division One leaders Notts looking to save the game against Brydon Carse-powered Durham.

And James Anderson will have work to do when Derbyshire bat a second time as Lancashire chase a first win of the season.

Tempted? We'll be back from 10.30 BST tomorrow if so.

  3. GLAMORGAN WIN BY EIGHT WICKETSpublished at 19:08 British Summer Time 18 May

    Glamorgan 424 & 66-2 v Northants 185 & 304

Asa Tribe and Sam Northeast ease Glamorgan home to victory inside three days against Northants.

They lost a couple of wickets early but then settled down and chased down what was a very low total with room to spare in the end.

  4. Close of play at Bristolpublished at 18:46 British Summer Time 18 May

    Glos 516 v Kent 424 & 135-4 - Kent lead by 43 runs

Big scores from Cameron Green (128) and James Bracey (127) propelled Gloucestershire to a total of 516 in their first innings earlier today.

Jake Ball and Nathan Gilchrist took three wickets apiece for Kent.

Then Kent made their way to 135-4 in their second innings, giving them a lead of 43 going into day four, with six wickets in hand.

We should have an entertaining last day in store.

  5. Close of play at The Ovalpublished at 18:40 British Summer Time 18 May

    Surrey 512 v Yorkshire 255 & 185-6 - trail by 72 runs

Surrey end the day well on top.

James Wharton hit a nice 67 for Yorkshire this evening before being bowled by Matt Fisher and Jonny Bairstow has flown onto 64 from 66 balls.

But Tom Lawes picked up the wickets of George Hill and Jordan Buckingham in the space of two balls to swing the game firmly into Surrey's favour.

Yorkshire still need 72 runs to force Surrey to bat again on day four, but if the hosts can take four wickets before they amass those, it'll be all over.

You'd expect Surrey to go on to win from here tomorrow.

  6. 'He led his side brilliantly'published at 18:39 British Summer Time 18 May

    Somerset 338 & 150-5 v Sussex 152 & 335 f/o

Lewis Gregory must be a very contented captain, he has led his side brilliantly.

    He finishes with 89.

They made hard work of it, it was tough in this second innings.

Take a bow, Lewis Gregory! A skipper's performance as Gregory nudges it into the leg side for a single and that secures the victory for Somerset!

It's a second win of the season for Somerset as Gregory ends with an unbeaten 89.

A third defeat of the campaign for Sussex who pay the price for their sub-standard first innings despite a valiant effort in their second.

An entertaining game of cricket ends a day early at Taunton but Somerset won't care one jot. They'll be chuffed with that.

    Somerset 149-5 - target 150

Lewis Gregory will, perhaps fittingly, get the chance to hit the winning runs. His unbeaten 88 has been phenomenal.

What a shot Archie Vaughan. He steps forward and smashes it over mid-wicket for four for Somerset off Jack Carson.

    It's almost done.

  10. Postpublished at 18:34 British Summer Time 18 May

    Somerset 145-5 - target 150

Lewis Gregory comes down the track again to Jack Carson and pushes it towards Ollie Robinson at long on but it's just a single.

  11. Postpublished at 18:33 British Summer Time 18 May

    Somerset 144-5 - target 150

Archie Vaughan, whose impressive career best of 80 has gone a long way to helping towards this impending Somerset victory, is at the crease with Lewis Gregory.

He bats out a maiden from James Coles but now Gregory has a chance to win it from this next over from Jack Carson...

  12. Close of play at Chester-le-Streetpublished at 18:32 British Summer Time 18 May

    Durham 664 v Notts 407 & 67-1 - trail by 190

Spin to end the day as George Drissell takes the final over.

Rob Lord nudges the ball into the offside and looks set for a single, but Ben Slater is having none of that.

A beauty from the penultimate ball as he gets turn and bounce outside off stump.

More turn from the final ball. Lord leaves and it misses his off stump by a whisker!

Encouragement for the Durham bowlers on a pitch which has offered very little thus far.

They lead by 190 runs and have a sniff of a victory. The Championship leaders will have to bat well to salvage a draw and maintain their unbeaten start.

  13. 'Gregory is making a mockery of this total'published at 18:30 British Summer Time 18 May

    Somerset 142-5 - target 150

    Mark Davis
Former Somerset seamer on BBC Radio Somerset

The trap was set for Banton, it was a silly shot.

    Just see that game home.

Somerset are almost there, they're in a strong position, Lewis Gregory is making a mockery of this total now.

Blimey, three fours in a row from Lewis Gregory off Jack Carson! This time through extra cover. He wants this done and dusted asap.

  15. Postpublished at 18:29 British Summer Time 18 May

    Somerset 138-5 - target 150

Another lovely drive through mid-off from Lewis Gregory for Somerset as he meets it on the half-volley from Jack Carson.

Now just 12 needed for victory.

  16. wicket

WICKETpublished at 18:28 British Summer Time 18 May

    Labuschagne c Broad b Sanderson 4 (Glamorgan 10-2 – target 66)

Marnus Labuschagne has had a pretty unhappy couple of innings here.

Out for a duck in the first, he's only managed four in the second.

Ben Sanderson has both wickets and Sam Northeast joins the action.

  17. Postpublished at 18:28 British Summer Time 18 May

    Somerset 134-5 - target 150

Lewis Gregory does what he's done all innings and settles the Somerset nerves.

He advances down the track to Jack Carson to make it a full toss and drives hard through mid-off for four.

  18. Postpublished at 18:27 British Summer Time 18 May

    Durham 664 v Notts 407 & 67-1 - trail by 190

Brydon Carse runs in for the penultimate over of the day and it's a pricey one.

Rob Lords gets off the mark with three runs before Ben Slater cuts the England bowler through point for a boundary. It's a no-ball, too.

The Notts opener then edges down to the third man boundary for four more.

A single takes Slater to 37 off just 43 balls before Rob Lord runs through for a leg bye.

  19. wicket

WICKETpublished at 18:24 British Summer Time 18 May

    Banton c Hughes b Coles 15 (Somerset 130-5 - target 150)

Tom Banton tries to drive from James Coles but he spoons it straight into the hands of Daniel Hughes at cover.

You'd think that is surely just a mere consolation for Sussex who need another five wickets for less than 20 runs.

  20. Close of play at Old Traffordpublished at 18:24 British Summer Time 18 May

    Lancs 458 & 141-6 v Derbys 314

Jack Morley bowls the penultimate over of the day and it's a good one. Just two singles.

David Lloyd will bowl the final over of the day.

Matty Hurst picks up a single to go 43 and that's your lot for day three.

Lancashire remain favourites, but Derbyshire have fought back superbly after ceding a 144-run first innings deficit going into tea.

They've taken seven wickets to stop the Red Rose piling on quick runs before a declaration.

The hosts lead by 285 with three sessions remaining.
