'Absolutely outrageous!' - Brook hits six on first ball

Tom Lawes deserved that. He has bowled accurately and Kohler-Cadmore gave a long stare at the pitch.

He also whacks the sponge of the boundary edge as he walks off. He didn't really get going at all.

    Kohler-Cadmore b Lawes 10 (Fire 102-5)

    Dragged on!

Full ball from Tom Lawes, wide of off and begging Tom Kohler-Cadmore to smash it many a mile over the off side.

The Welsh Fire batter tries to do just that but probably tries to hit it a little too hard, loses his shape and gets an inside edge back onto the pegs.

  3. Fire 101-4published at 65 balls

Just five from Imad Wasim's latest five, plus that run out.

Good for the Superchargers but Fire are in danger of losing their way a little bit after such a strong start.

Tom Abell wasn't expecting the throw to come back to his end.

He ran without looking to see where Crawley was in comparison to the ball and then he lost all of his momentum.

That is appalling running. As bad as bad can get.

I'm not sure what has happened. Shambolic.

Abell run out (Crawley) 9 (Fire 99-4)

    Calamitous stuff from Welsh Fire.

Tom Kohler-Cadmore hits into the gap on the leg-side and Tom Abell touches down and calls for two before sprinting back.

The problem is Kohler-Cadmore hadn't moved after reaching the non-striker's end. He's absolutely barbequed Abell there.

Both batters end up at the same end but it's Abell who has to trudge off.

  7. Fire 96-3published at 60 balls

Four good balls from Tom Lawes but the last is just asking to be hit.

Dug in short and it sits up wide of off for Tom Abell, new bat in hand, to wallop over the covers.

A couple of bounces for four.

I am interested to see who will bowl at the death. Rashid wouldn't typically bowl at the end. Lawes could be a possibility.

Potts perhaps looks the favourite but you wouldn't say he is experienced in that role.

  9. Fire 90-3published at 57 balls

We've got another delay at Headingley.

Tom Abell has broken his bat.

  10. Fire 89-3published at 55 balls

Headingley is the ground with the highest average score in The Hundred - 161 if you're asking.

Welsh Fire are on for that as it stands on what seems like another good pitch.

The pitch looked good in the women's game. There was talk of it being tacky but under lights, that might not have as big an impact.

You want to be north of 160, 170.

  12. Fire 86-3published at 52 balls

Banged in short by Mohammad Amir but Tom Abell just swivels on it to pull it into the gap for four.

Rashid is causing all sorts of problems. The lack of pace is really troubling the batters.

    It is remarkably slow.

  14. Fire 82-3published at 50 balls

Big appeal for lbw as Adil Rashid outfoxes Tom Abell with a lovely googly.

However, it's given not out and there's no review. Ah, that's why, there was an inside edge.

They ran a single, too, off that ball and Abell had to be quick to make his ground given there was a direct hit. That's not out either.

Halfway through the innings. It's been good fun so far.

It is so interesting to watch Harry Brook as a young captain fiddling with the field.

Even though he is so inexperienced he has a demeanour of control and shows authority over Rashid about where he has his field.

  16. Fire 79-3published at 46 balls

Adil Rashid is carrying on through for another five.

Tom Abell and Tom Kohler-Cadmore are in the middle for Welsh Fire now as they try to rebuild following three quick wickets.

Fired in quicker there by Rashid. He got his arm through quickly to dart the ball in. Bairstow didn't quite time it and it would have gone for six had Crawley not been there.

    Rashid will think job done.

Bairstow kicks the ground in frustration. Rashid comes out on top of that little duel.

  19. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 44 balls

    Bairstow c Crawley b Rashid 42 (Fire 78-3)

    Adil Rashid hits back!

Tossed up again by the leggie, Jonny Bairstow goes down the ground this time but picks out Zak Crawley at long on.

No panic from Rashid despite those two boundaries and he ends an entertaining knock from his old England team-mate.

  20. Fire 78-2published at 43 balls

Adil Rashid again but Jonny Bairstow has the measure of a man he has played alongside for so many years with Yorkshire and England.

Twice he gets out the reverse to find the boundary, the first is just behind square and the next is paddled fine.
