Ireland are in the box seat although chasing 158 will be no straightforward task.

There are a maximum 37 overs remaining today so they could be celebrating tonight if all goes to plan.

The bowlers have put their team in a commanding position and it's now up to the batters to deliver.

Chivanga c Adair b McBrine 6 (Zim 197 all out)

Chivanga skies one which wouldn't have been easy for Mark Adair in the sunlight but he takes the catch and, with it, Zimbabwe are all out for 197.

We reach the innings break of around ten minutes as Ireland will be chasing 158 to win this test match. Not insurmountable but it won't be easy.

  6. Zim 197-9published at 70 overs

Chivanga hits the deck at one and flails at another McCarthy heater and is clearly not enjoying facing him again. Can Ireland get that last wicket and get into bat soon?

    Ngarava c Tucker b McBrine 11 (Zim 195-9)

Ngarava put up a spirited 11 off 22 balls but falls to an easy catch to keeper Lorcan Tucker off McBrine, who now has three wickets.

Not sure the Zimbabwe batsman agreed that he made contact but he is gone. In to replace him returns Tanaka Chivanga, who appears to have shaken off that knock to the head.

Ngarava and Chatara leg out a run but are almost run out by Harry Tector whose throw whistles past the stumps.

  10. Zim 189-8published at 16:33 British Summer Time 27 July

Chivanga is thankfully back to his feet and able to walk off under his own strength. However, he won't be able to continue and is replaced by Tendai Chatara.

They won't lose a wicket as it will be a concussion substitution.

    Zim 189-8

Barry McCarthy finishes a scoreless over with a a bouncer that catches Tanaka Chivanga on the back of the head. He is down receiving treatment and hopefully he can continue.

  12. Zim 189-8published at 65 overs

Tanaka Chivanga comes down the wicket to meet a McBrine delivery and dispatches it for just a single. A tad risky at this stage of the day!

  13. Zim 188-8published at 64 overs

Zimbabwe get a few more on the board off Barry McCarthy. Andy McBride is backhaving been productive so far.

  14. Zim 182-8published at 16:14 British Summer Time 27 July

We are back underway in east Belfast with Ireland looking for two more wickets to get the bat in their hands.

They trail by 142 with Andy McBrine back with the ball fresh off his wicket of Muzurabani. Tanaka Chivanga joins Richard Ngarava at the crease.

Ireland are sitting pretty at tea with five wickets falling in an impressive afternoon session from the bowlers.

Zimbabwe's lead is 142 and if these final two wickets fall quickly Ireland could have a dart at victory tonight.

    Muzarabani c Tector b McBrine 0 (182-8)

A wicket with the last ball before tea as Ireland have had a brilliant run-in to the break. Blessing Muzurabani was excellent with the ball yesterday but skies one to Tector off McBrine who shows good concentration to take the catch. The big bowler goes for a duck.

    Game on!

That's how quickly a game can turn with two quick wickets putting Ireland firmly in charge.

An excellent knock from Myers for his first Test half-century but we're now into the tail and the hosts will want to wrap this up pretty soon.

  20. Zim 178-7published at 61 overs

A scoreless over for Andy McBrine. Can Ireland get yet another wicket before tea?
