  1. Zim 178-7published at 60 overs

Ngarava gets himself off the mark with a boundary which will do wonders for his confidence as he and Muzarabani look to steady the ship.

Myers lbw Adair 57 (Zim 174-7)

Wickets are like buses for Ireland! Dion Myers' excellent innings is ended by a plumb lbw ball from Mark Adair.

This has been an excellent spell for the hosts which brings in Richard Ngarava for a brand-new partnership with Muzarabani.

  3. wicket

WICKETpublished at 15:38 British Summer Time 27 July

    Madande c McCarthy b McBrine 10 (Zim 174-6)

What's the opposite of the 'curse of the commentator?' He might have got some runs this time but Clive Madande meets a similar fate to his first inning as he pops one up high and not very far into the clutches of Barry McCarthy.

Both Bennett and Mdande have gone for ten for the last two wickets.

That brings the 6 foot 10 figure of Blessing Muzurabani to the crease.

  4. Zim 173-5published at 58 overs

Another stifling over from Mark Adair. We are around 20 minutes from tea and how Ireland would love another wicket before then.

  5. Zim 172-5published at 57 overs

Debutant Clive Madande with arguably the shot of the day as he smashes McBrine for a four that almost carries all the way for a six.

He is certainly growing in confidence but survives a slightly optimistic lbw call.

  6. Zim 167-5published at 56 overs

Adair's return with the ball is reasonably successful and we'll now see the spin of Andy McBrine again from the Dundonald end.

  7. Zim 165-5published at 55 overs

Madande moves on to six while Myers tacks on another three for the tourists. Mark Adair is back bowling from the City end after getting some treatment on his finger on his non-bowling hand.

  8. 50 runs

    50published at 54 overs

    Zim 161-5

It's a maiden Test half-century for Dion Myers as Stormont rises to its feet to salute him. It has been a quietly solid innings for Myers who steadied the ship after the early loss of Gumbie and Masvaure.

Andy McBrine follows that up with a good over that earns him a deserved round of applause. This has been a better second session for the hosts.

A moment to remember for Matthew Humphreys as he takes his first Test wicket.

It's just a second Test match for the 21-year-old after making his debut against Sri Lanka in Galle last year.

Humphreys has also contributed with the bat by blazing his way to an unbeaten 27 yesterday evening.

  13. Zim 152-5published at 50 overs

Matthew Humphreys follows up his first test wicket with a 50th over for just one run. Thursday and Friday afternoon were both wicket-laden and Ireland will be hoping to continue that trend here.

  14. wicket

WICKETpublished at 15:03 British Summer Time 27 July

    Bennett c Moor b Humphreys 10 (Zim 151-5)

It's a first test wicket for Matthew Humphreys as he gets Brian Bennett to poke the ball to PJ Moor for an excellent close-range catch.

Ireland don't let Bennett strike up a partnership with Myers - who is on 45 - and that brings in wicket keeper Clive Madande who will be hoping to last longer than he did on Thursday when he went for a golden duck.

  15. Zim 146-4published at 47 overs

Zimbabwe survive that scare and march on with two more runs. Spin bowler Matthew Humphreys will now deliver from the City end.

  16. Postpublished at 46 overs

    Zim 144-4

Big shout for lbw against Dion Myers that falls on deaf ears. If anything, it looked closer than the ball that dismissed Craig Ervine earlier but nothing doing for Craig Young.

  20. drinks break

    Drinks breakpublished at 44 overs

    Zim 140-4

Time for drinks here at Stormont as Zimbabwe get there on 140 runs. They now lead by exactly 100 runs so Ireland will be hoping to keep that total down.
