Catching practice! In fact, it may not even be that, it was even easier!

  2. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 4.4 overs

    Fakhar c Taylor b Ali-Khan 11 (Pak 26-3)

It's on! I'm telling you now, this is on!

What are Pakistan doing? Fakhar Zaman tries to scoop Muhammad Ali-Khan, but only finds Steven Taylor at the edge of the circle. Simple catch.

The US are delirious. Pakistan are all over the place.

  3. Pak 26-2published at 4.3 overs

All happening. Huge appeal against Babar. Turned down, but the skipper set off running and would have been miles out had the throw from point hit the stumps.

  4. Pak 25-2published at 4.2 overs

Muhammad Ali-Khan comes into the attack. A right-arm seamer, he was once contracted to Kolkata Knight Riders.

That is a very good, testing over. Netravalkar is putting Pakistan under a heap of pressure.

  6. Pak 22-2published at 4 overs

Babar is feeling the pressure. He misses with a wild hack and almost loses his furniture. The skipper only has two from nine deliveries faced.

Simon Mahon: It would be very on brand for Pakistan to lose to USA and then beat India.

You can see Fakhar Zaman batting at least a foot outside his crease, and that shows how little pace there is.

  9. Pak 22-2published at 3.2 overs

Fakhar is miles out of his crease to Netravalkar, trying to negate the swing. One more wicket here and Pakistan really will have the heebie jeebies.

Better than Leverock catch for Bermuda? I doubt that!

Fakhar Zaman is the only left-handed batter in the top seven so this is a risky match-up.

Well, I think we know how Fakhar Zaman is going to approach this.

  14. 6 runs

    Pak 20-2published at 2.4 overs

    USA, meet the Fakhar.

Fakhar Zaman wallops his first ball for six over square leg.

I was about to question why they were giving Kenjige another over when the seamer had just taken a wicket!

Usman Khan is a very good player of spin but there's no pace in the pitch and that meant he was trying to force it too much.

Usman Khan tried to take on the spinner, but long-off was perfectly positioned.

  17. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 2.3 overs

    Usman c Kumar b Kenjige 3 (Pak 14-2)

    Game on here.

It's needless from Usman Khan, who tries to take the spin of Kenjige downtown and only finds Nitish Kumar at long-off. A pretty unnecessary shot at this stage and Pakistan are right under the pump.

  18. Pak 13-1published at 2 overs

Netravalkar, the left-arm seamer, played for India U19s. He was their leading wicket-taker at the 2010 U19 World Cup. Usman Khan is the new arrival. That Taylor catch has given the US a massive lift.

That's one of the moments of the tournament so far. The USA needed early wickets to get momentum and to put pressure on Pakistan, and a moment of magic like that in the field can give teams a huge boost.

My word, what an incredible catch! The ball goes across Rizwan, gets a healthy edge and it's gone very quickly. The ball was barely off the ground and it was nearly behind him!

We've got a contender for catch of the tournament already.
