Summary

  1. USA 94-1published at 12 overs

It'll be interesting to see whether the USA's approach changes, the closer they get to the total.

Will the nerves take over? I can't see it. They've looked in total control so far.

USA have batted cannily here - they're right in this now.

  3. USA 93-1published at 11.4 overs

    Target 160

    Blimey, they're cruising.

Iftikhar Ahmed is slapped through the covers for back-to-back fours.

Andries Gous has batted beautifully for his 34 from 23 balls.

  6. USA 83-1published at 11 overs

    Target 160

A few singles and a wide help the USA edge a little closer.

The wide is a bit harsh, to be fair - I thought it was quite a well-directed bouncer.

Gous is considered the highest quality player in this USA side and he's showing why here.

  8. USA 80-1published at 10.2 overs

    Target 160

Here's Naseem Shah, who has Pakistan's only wicket so far.

But he's not going to get many more bowling like that. Short, sits up nicely and Gous thumps it through mid-wicket for four.

    Easy pickings.

    Thanks, Stephan.

We're in for a cracker. The players take a drink with the USA 76-1, and at the same stage, Pakistan were 66-3...

That is a big, big hit. A shot of great authority, a shot of a player who wants to finish it with time to spare.

  13. 6 runs

    USA 73-1published at 9.2 overs

    Target 160

It's nerveless stuff from Andries Gaus, pumping Shadab back over his head for six. USA are favourites from here.

If USA win this, it will be monumental. It will be unlike anything I've ever seen in cricket before.

  15. USA 65-1published at 9 overs

    Target 160

Pakistan have managed to engineer a couple of quiet overs, only for Gous to slash Haris for a boundary off the final ball. Trouble for Pakistan is Aaron Jones is in next. It feels like it's going to be a nipper.

I'm in Philadelphia today rummaging around all the wonderful history and artefacts at the C.C. Morris Cricket Library at Haverford College.

Found this quite brilliant programme from the very first time a Pakistan team played in United States in 1958.

The curator of the museum - American Joe Lynn - named the last of his five children 'Bradman' after the legendary Australian.

  17. USA 56-1published at 8 overs

    Target 160

That's quite a tidy start from Shadab, but it's still quite ragged in the field from Pakistan.

This is the game. If USA play the spin well, they'll be in a great position.

  19. USA 54-1published at 7.2 overs

    Target 160

Shadab Khan. How the US play the leggie will have a bit say in the outcome of this match.

It is so hard to score off a good length but Pakistan are either bowling too short or full tosses. It's not good enough.
