Summary

  1. USA 51-1published at 7 overs

    Target 160

The US haven't been derailed by the wicket. Gous drives Haris Rauf through the covers and the sweeper can't prevent the boundary. It was another full toss from a Pakistan fast bowler. We were expecting a good tune from the four-pronged pace attack, but they have bowled like East 17.

Gous picks up length so quickly. He is going to be a very important player in this chase.

  3. USA 44-1published at 6 overs

    Target 160

Take that! Gous might have had some luck first ball, but this is a top shot, a pull in front of square with fast hands and oodles of intent. Naseem had bowled well until then.

  4. USA 40-1published at 5.2 overs

    Target 160

    Almost two in two!

Andries Gous is the new man, edging his first ball just short of Iftikhar at wide first slip.

That's what Pakistan were waiting for. Naseem Shah finally hits a good length.

It is difficult to score from that good length and Pakistan haven't hit it enough. They've been sloppy, they've given away too many bad balls and wides.

That wicket has got to give them a boost, it's come at a good time.

    Taylor c Rizwan b Naseem 12 (USA 36-1)

    How Pakistan need this!

Steven Taylor feels outside the off stump and edges Naseem Shah through to Muhammad Rizwan.

    Can Pakistan build on this?

  8. USA 36-0published at 5 overs

    Target 160

Pakistan are flat, like they are waiting for something to happen. The US look full of intent and confidence. Their running between the wickets is excellent. If you didn't know, you'd be hard-pressed to identify the former champions from the novices.

That's a clinical pull shot, but it's such poor bowling.

  11. USA 32-0published at 4.1 overs

    Target 160

Awful from Mohammad Amir. Rank long hop that Monank easily pulls for four.

Cricket Ref: This score is under par but Pakistan's attack will be too good for the States. Pakistan to win by approx 20 runs.

Aerial shot of the ground in Dallas. Quite frankly, the car park is magnificent. They do car parks well, the Americans. Never knowingly short of a parking space.

I've been so impressed by the intent shown by the openers and their body language is so positive, mainly through their running between the wickets.

  15. USA 27-0published at 3.4 overs

    Target 160

Naseem Shah is into the attack. I can't remember Pakistan bowling a bouncer yet.

    Exceptional decision-making from the umpire.

Pitched outside leg. That's a bit desperate from Pakistan.

It looks a good shout. The only question is where did it pitch?

Shaheen to Monank. Not out. Trapped on the crease. Didn't look out.

Iftikhar didn't move a muscle. For me, he has got to go for that.
