The projected score came up on the scoreboard - 229.
Just seven singles in the past two overs but it feels like plenty is going on - mainly dropped catches.
This is an important partnership for England but it's India who seem to be doing their best to keep it going.
Eng 137-4
Another chance goes down!
Tougher this time but not much - India are giving England plenty of lifelines.
Sophia Dunkley tries to force the ball over mid-wicket off Deepti Sharma but doesn't get the elevation and Jemimah Rodrigues should take the catch at head height.
Instead, the ball bursts through her hands and Dunkley survives.

It is a filthy drop. Appalling cricket all round.

Poor ball, poor shot and poor fielding.
That was a really slow, loopy bouncer. Alice Davidson-Richards completely misread it and toe-ended it.
Eng 134-4
Oh dear me.
That is not a delivery that anyone involved will want to reflect on for too long.
Horrible bouncer from Kranti Goud, horrendous attempt at a pull shot from Alice Davidson-Richards and the ball dollies back to the bowler off the toe-end.
Somehow, though, Goud manages to juggle it and then watches in dismay as it falls to the ground.
A bit of aggression from Deepti Sharma as she hurls the ball back to the wicketkeeper after Alice Davidson-Richards pats it back to her.
The England batter, firmly in her crease, has to sway clear of the throw and looks a little bemused by the whole thing.
It's not quite the finger-pointing and send offs we saw in the Lord's Test but these things have to start somewhere...

What was I saying about inconsistency? It really is bewildering how England rebuild after losing quick wickets. Then a few overs later, they literally chip their wickets away. And this is why England has struggled against the likes of Australia and on occasions the West Indies. They either drop catches, or take blinders, post big scores, or bat terribly.
Adrian in Worcester
Pratika Rawal into the attack to bowl some off-spin.
She's giving the ball plenty of flight and invites the drive with a ball outside off.
Sophia Dunkley gratefully accepts the invitation and slaps the ball through the covers for four.
Six from the over in total after the first signs of England trying to up the tempo a little through these middle overs.
It's a tricky balance to strike for the home side. They need to get themselves into a position to really launch towards a big total but lose another wicket quickly and they'll be in real trouble.

England have started to find some rhythm against the spinners. It was really well executed by Alice Davidson-Richards.
A boundary!
Lovely shot from Alice Davidson-Richards, skipping down the track to Deepti Sharma and chipping the ball confidently over mid-on.
Dunkley 12, Davidson-Richards 7
Thanks, Mike.
Steady progress for England at the moment as they try to steady themselves after the big wicket of Nat Sciver-Brunt a few overs back.
Just a couple of singles from Shree Charani's latest. The spinners are doing an excellent job for India.
Sneh Rana starts her fifth over with three dot balls, before the England batters work her for trio of singles.
And with that I'll hand you over to Sam Drury for the remainder of this innings.

The spinners in this game and the effect they have had - they have bowled 12 of the 14 overs since the end of the powerplay and England have only scored two boundaries from those.
More runs through fine leg for Sophia Dunkley, three this time off Shree Charani.
It's her 27th birthday today, I'm sure she'd love a big score to celebrate.
Sophia Dunkley top edges Sneh Rana's first delivery but it drops safely in the fine leg region and England run two.
England were 83-2 after the 15th over, but have scored just 23 runs since then.
Only one boundary since the 13th over to boot.
Shree Charani returns after Amajot Kaur took two overs at this end.
Sophia Dunkley turns a two through square to bring up England's hundred.

Neil Virani: It's not Hayley Matthews levels but the reliance on NSB is so worrying.
Both England batters on zero as Alice Davidson-Richards walks to the middle.
Davidson-Richards takes a single immediately to get off the mark, before Dunkley gets her first run from the last ball of Rana's over, knocking down to long-on.
