  1. Eng 185-4published at 41 overs

A milestone for Sophia Dunkley but a quiet over for England otherwise.

Just three singles from it. With both batters well set - the partnership is up to 88 - you'd have to think the last big assault is not far off.

But then I've been saying that for a few overs now...

It is a well-curated knock from Sophia Dunkley.

She came in under pressure. They had just lost the captain and in-form Emma Lamb, but both of these batters have batted beautifully.

A single for Sophia Dunkley and that takes her to her half-century from 68 balls.

An important knock from the England right-hander. It's her sixth ODI fifty and a nice way to celebrate her 27th birthday.

Anything over 250 is competitive. They will have to put their foot on the gas at some point.

  5. Eng 182-4published at 40 overs

Seven from the over, Sophia Dunkley is one shy of a half-century and there are 10 overs left in the innings.

England will want to get beyond 250 so that will require them scoring at around seven an over, they're going at a little over four and a half at the moment.

Talk about timing. That was impeccable. Brilliantly played by Sophia Dunkley.

Not a lot of pace to work with, so she had to generate all the pace.

  7. Eng 180-4published at 39.3 overs

    Much-needed boundary for England!

Superbly timed through the off side by Sophia Dunkley and the ball just keeps going to beat the dive of the fielder in the deep.

I reckon Jemimah Rodrigues has finger-tipped that. A full length dive and she is so close to taking that.

  9. Eng 175-4published at 39 overs

    Close!

Sophia Dunkley flicks the ball into the leg-side and Jemimah Rodrigues is nealry in the game again.

After a very smart low catch and a fairly regulation drop, Rodrigues almost takes a screamer.

She dives full length to her right but the ball just brushes her fingertips. I don't think you can call that a drop but it was a heart-in-mouth moment for Dunkley.

  10. Eng 172-4published at 38 overs

Amanjot Kaur returns to the attack and England take four from the seamer's over.

This pair are biding their time before really kicking on. It looks like they'll trying to get to 40 overs at least before going properly on the offensive.

India have bowled nicely. They have targeted the stumps well.

Still no boundaries but better rotation of the striker from this England pair.

They take six from Sneh Rana's latest with ADR - that's Alice Davidson-Richards for the uninitiated - guiding the ball down to deep third for two first ball before singles from the last four deliveries.

Sophia Dunkley feels the safe option to go harder earlier.

Not only has she played every game this summer for England.

She is a harder hitter of the ball and I would like her to be the aggressor in this partnership.

  14. Eng 162-4published at 36 overs

Still England are only able to deal in singles.

With 14 overs left in the innings, the acceleration will have to come soon, but given how well India's spinners have bowled, perhaps the batters' caution is understandable.

Another solid over from Sneh Rana.

Again it only costs three singles and she now has figures of 2-19 from seven overs.

England need to think about upping the run-rate at some point. How long will they wait before really going for it?

Sophia Dunkley plays that shot well, getting into position early. There's the risk and reward. The ball slows down and then Dunkley is able to adapt and hit the ball.

  17. Eng 156-4published at 34 overs

    Clever shot from Sophia Dunkley.

The England batter gets down and plays the reverse paddle, beating the fielder at short third.

She gives chase but eventually gives up. Four more to the total and this fifth-wicket partnership is now worth 59.

  18. Eng 150-4published at 33 overs

Sneh Rana has been very impressive so far today and returns to the attack with another tidy over.

Just three singles from the first after drinks.

Well-directed bumper from Kranti Goud but it's not quick enough to trouble Sophia Dunkley, who leans back slightly and hammers the ball through backward point on the cut.

    No stopping that. Four runs.

Goud goes fuller later in the over and very nearly gets India's fifth wicket. Play and a miss from ADR with the ball whistling just past off stump.

    Time for drinks.
