  1. Aus 276-4published at 41.1 overs

    Need 76 from 53 balls

A difficult night for Brydon Carse continues as Alex Carey manages to heave the ball leg side for four.

The left-hander backs away, Carse follows him but Carey still manages to get a clean connection to send the ball through square leg.

England have to break this partnership with both quick wickets or this game is over.

England doing a fantastic job of throwing away a winning position against Australia C.

    Ade

It's not pessimism to point out the obvious. This is an Australia side without its three best bowlers, which lost their two best batters early, and England look bereft of ideas to stop them chasing down 350.

  3. Aus 272-4published at 41 overs

    Need 80 from 54 balls

It is Liam Livingstone returning for his seventh over and Alex Careythumps his second ball down the ground, off the back foot, for four.

Seven from the over. Brydon Carse will bowl the next...

It looks like the game is slightly in Australia's favour at the moment.

I had the feeling that England didn't quite capitalise enough, they probably left about 20 runs out there.

I think one of the issues that England have faced is that Brydon Carse hasn't played well and he's got five overs left.

England will have to try and squeeze some overs out of Joe Root or Liam Livingstone.

  6. Aus 265-4published at 40 overs

    Need 88 from 60 balls

Just four from the over and Adil Rashid is bowled out.

He finishes with excellent figures of 1-47 from his 10 overs - and will feel he should have had a second wicket after that drop in his ninth over.

The required run-rate is sitting at eight an over which is comfortable for this partnership who have done so well. There hasn't been anything between these two teams all night.

  9. Aus 261-4published at 39 overs

    Need 91 from 66 balls

Jofra Archer ends the over with a pair of dots balls but there was still 11 from it and WinViz now makes Australia favourites.

If this pair stays there, you can't see anything but a win for the Aussies.

  10. Aus 258-4published at 38.2 overs

    Need 94 from 70 balls

    Insult to injury.

Jofra Archer drops Alex Carey. Now Josh Inglis hits him for back-to-back boundaries.

The first a well-executed reverse scoop and it's followed up by a flick through square leg.

That might well be the match. Jofra Archer got both hands to it but couldn't keep it.

Let's see if it gets him angry, maybe it will fire him up.

  12. dropped catch

Carey dropped on 49published at 38 overs

'Oh no!' - Archer drops sitter to gift Carey half-century

Goodness me! That could be a massive moment in the match.

Alex Carey, on 49, pulls a short ball from Adil Rashid out to deep mid-wicket and it's straight to Jofra Archer.

It should be a regulation catch but it goes straight through his hands and hits the turf.

Carey gets back for two, it's half-century from him, when he should be heading back to the pavilion.

We've been contacted by Sam and Aamina, who are supporting England as this match heads for a tense finale in Lahore. They've sent a lovely picture of themselves at the Gaddafi Stadium

Doubtless they'll be biting their fingernails to the quick if this goes to the wire.

Really good over from Jofra Archer, just three singles from it.

He predominantly sticks to pace on which makes the couple of slower balls he does go to that much more effective.

One beats Josh Inglis as he tries a reverse scoop while the next stands up and Inglis has to defend.

Four different bowlers have taken the wickets for England today.

They need one of their attack to strike soon before this match gets away from them.

  19. Aus 241-4published at 36 overs

    Need 111 from 84 balls

Frustration for Adil Rashid as an inside edge from Josh Inglis just misses the stumps and goes through Jamie Smith's legs to add three to Australia's tally.

That brings up the 100 partnership between Inglis and Alex Carey. Seven from the over after a misfield from Brydon Carse gifts Australia a single to end it.

The big fast bowler has not had a day to remember so far.

England are utter garbage. Going to be beaten with three or four overs to spare against an Australia who have about their fourth choice bowling attack out there. We really need to save everyone the bother and just give South Africa and Afghanistan the wins.
