    Bryony Smith again.

Kathryn Bryce is getting funky now, getting outside off and attempting to sweep past 45 for four but does not manage anything but a single.

A binary over until the last ball dot.

  2. 'There's runs every ball'published at 20:53 British Summer Time 22 June

    The Blaze 92-2 - Target 142

    Kevan James
    BBC Radio Solent commentator

Gregory is bowling just that little too short which is allowing the ball to sit up.

    There's runs every ball.

She's allowing the batters to push her around too much.

  3. 50 runs

50 for Kathryn Brycepublished at 11 overs

The Blaze need 50 off nine overs

Two off each of the first two balls.

And that is enough for the Blaze who need less than a run a ball at Derby.

Dani Gregory gets away with one particularly filthy long hop for just one, but another two takes Kathryn Bryce to another half-century.

Five 50s in 12 innings in this year's Charlotte Edwards Cup, and this is the fastest of those knocks, 31 balls, some purple patch she is in.

Phoebe Franklin bowls a little wide allowing an under edge for four, then an outside edge for four, 10 off it.

Halfway stage and the batting side are on top, but a wicket always change things.

Only 142 to win remember, so they are comfortably over halfway there.

58 runs needed from 60 balls.

The Blaze require 68 more runs to win off 11 overs

    Charlotte Taylor
Southern Vipers spinner on BBC local radio

It doesn't look like a bad over in the grand scheme of things but there wasn't a lot of wicket-taking deliveries in there.

  6. Postpublished at 9 overs

South East Stars 141-9 v The Blaze 74-2

Dani Gregory is turned to with the ball.

A drag down is only pulled for one.

Seven off her first, no boundary in it being a win for the fielding side here.

  7. Postpublished at 8 overs

South East Stars 141-9 v The Blaze 67-2

    Tilly Corteen-Coleman is back.

A full toss fourth ball brings the first six of the Blaze innings.

Kathryn Bryce does not need freebies to be able to find the boundary.

No more than singles the rest of it though.

  8. Postpublished at 7 overs

South East Stars 141-9 v The Blaze 57-2

Bryony Smith gives herself a second over.

Good running gives Kathryn Bryce a brace.

Sarah Bryce sweeps but just for one.

A wide, added to those run by the sisters between the wickets, means the over goes for eight.

South East Stars 141-9 v The Blaze 49-2

Sarah Bryce gets her first boundary, but another top over from Tash Farrant with her box of tricks of pace-off deliveries.

The pace on balls more a rarity.

Powerplay done, game fairly well balanced.

    Clive Eakin
    BBC CWR Sport

The problem for South East Stars is their last five overs only yielded 25 runs.

You've got to bear in mind that they did not finish strongly.

  11. Postpublished at 5 overs

Another boundary for Kathryn Bryce, seven off the first over from Stars skipper Bryony Smith.

South East Stars 141-9 v The Blaze 37-2

Bryony Smith, the skipper, breaks through in her first over again!

Marie Kelly runs down the wicket but does not get near enough on it, chipping up to extra cover for a simple catch.

    Sisters Bryce together now.

South East Stars 141-9 v The Blaze 36-1

Ryana MacDonald-Gay starts with a wide, then the shot of the innings so far as a good length ball is driven through the covers, not really off either foot, but the form she is in, little footwork is required by Kathryn Bryce.

Then she pulls for four, then a leading edge for a third, this time fortuitous boundary.

One dot then another boundary, wow what strokeplay and placement from the Blaze's number three.

And just for good measure she takes a single last ball to keep the strike! Great batting.

Over 400 runs for Bryce in this competition now.

  14. Postpublished at 3 overs

South East Stars 141-9 v The Blaze 17-1

    Tilly Corteen-Coleman's left-arm orthodox continues.

Kathryn Bryce drives through the covers for four fifth ball, just six from the over.

    The Stars on top.

  15. 'Unlucky Beaumont'published at 20:24 British Summer Time 22 June

South East Stars 141-9 v The Blaze 11-1

    Nikki Chaudhuri

What an unlucky way to go for Tammy Beaumont!

You can't really do much and I'm pretty sure Farrant can't say she planned that either.

The Blaze have lost such a crucial wicket.

Tash Farrant brings a little bit of pace to the attack, but is equally happy to take the pace off regularly too.

A hack through the leg side for four from Marie Kelly is the one of those the fielders say "that's a win for us".

And then the crucial wicket, not Kelly's fault but her straight drive is deflected onto the non-striker's stumps quite deliberately and magnificently from the bowler.

What a way for Tammy Beaumont to go, arguably there is no worse way.

  17. Postpublished at 1 over

South East Stars 141-9 v The Blaze 1-0

Tammy Beaumont swept her first ball fine for two, then scampered a single.

Both batters happy to use their feet and sweep early on here, but five off it is a win for the Stars.

Remember the first innings saw 22 off the first over, the most expensive first over in Charlotte Edwards Cup history.

  18. dropped catch

    Dropped catchpublished at 0.2 overs

South East Stars 141-9 v The Blaze 1-0

Big early chance, it seems to have hit her wrists and just popped out second ball.

Marie Kelly gets the life, having slog swept in front of deep midwicket.

Tilly Corteen-Coleman unfortunate to not already have a wicket to her name, Phoebe Franklin who put the chance down.

South East Stars 141-9 v The Blaze

Thanks Ben, fortunately my club game was won in plenty of time for me to get online for the start of that probably slightly under-par first innings.

Marie Kelly and Tammy Beaumont will face the new ball.

Tilly Corteen-Coleman to open the bowling.
