Possible all these dropped catches are because of the heat meaning sweaty hands? You can see the sheen on everyone's skin so seems daft not to think it's an issue.

South Africa scored 39 runs off the final five overs of the innings - the most by any team in Sharjah so far in this competition (previous highest of 33 by Bangladesh vs Scotland).

An excellent finish to the innings from South Africa by Sharjah standards.

I don't know how to feel about this but I think England will be the happier of the two sides. South Africa started really well in the power play but Sarah Glenn, after not starting great, has been brilliant today. This pitch looks much better than others we've seen so far.

  8. 'Learned from the last game'published at 16:21 British Summer Time 7 October

England leg-spinner Sarah Glenn: "It was fun out there. We got to learn the conditions from the last match and executed the plans well tonight. As a bowling group, I feel like our communication on and off the field has been effective.

"I think we have to do more of the basics with the bat. We have learned from the last game and hopefully we can go out and execute it as a team."

It will be a good game of cricket this, I don't know which way it will go.

    Thanks, Ffion.

On the face of it that certainly looks a gettable target for England to chase.

The average first-innings total at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium in the four matches played at this World Cup is 111 so South Africa are a few runs over par.

However, nobody has scored more than 103 in the second innings in the four matches played here. It will be a decent test for Heather Knight and company with the bat.

An eventful, fluctuating innings sees South Africa set England 125 to win.

Make no mistake, this will not be easy. England stuttered to 118 in their opener - but they are on a different pitch, which may help them.

Let's hope we're in for a cracker! Here is Timothy Abraham to expertly guide you through England's chase.

  13. SA 124-6published at 19.5 overs

Lucky, but crucial runs for South Africa.

Annerie Dercksen edges one past her stumps for four more.

  14. SA 120-6published at 19.4 overs

A much-needed boundary for South Africa.

Annerie Dercksen clubs Sciver-Brunt for four through mid-wicket.

That is a really unfortunate way to go but Nat Sciver-Brunt gives it the big football celebration.

This is a run out in the most bizarre of fashions.

    Luus run out (Sciver-Brunt) 1 (SA 114-6)

One of the unluckiest run outs you'll see!

Annerie Dercksen drills the ball firmly back towards Nat Sciver-Brunt, who is struck on the foot. It's not a deliberate stop - she was actually trying to get her foot out of the way, but the ball ricochets off it and Sune Luus is run out while backing up.

She's ranked number one in the world for a reason.

2-15 for Sophie Ecclestone today, with just four runs and the wicket from that 19th over.

That is brilliant bowling from Sophie Ecclestone. She had a gut feeling that Kapp was going to come dancing down the wicket so she took all the pace off it, she's doing a huge job for England.
