    Masvaure was chasing his first Test century and will be disappointed to fall short when well set.

    Ireland have a pep to their step now and the game is perfectly balanced going into the final stage of day one.

    Well, the third wicket did arrive and it was a great catch from Andy McBrine just outside the media tent.

    A much better session from Ireland despite improved batting conditions and they will hope to build on it in the final two hours (or a bit more) of today.
