  1. Ind 17-1published at 4 overs

India captain Rohit Sharma was a fitness doubt for this game with a hamstring injury and he's not moving too smartly as they squeak a two. One to watch.

  2. Ind 15-1published at 3.2 overs

The two NZ seamers have looked really good early on this morning. Both beating the bat regularly and keeping things tight.

  3. Ind 15-1published at 3 overs

Virat Kohli is at the crease. Volume increases.

Got him! Missed a straight one. Out.

It looked a good shout, I have to say.

    It's close to the edge.

No bat on this. Surely the breakthrough.

NZ have responded well and think they have the first wicket...

  9. Ind 15-0published at 09:11 Greenwich Mean Time 2 March

That six was actually straighter than it looked, was closer to long on. Was way back over the ropes, wherever. Made a lovely sound off the bat.

Rohit heaves it over the distant boundary. That's some shot.

A 0% chance of rain, 24C in Dubai. Turned out nice again.

Rohit Sharma has seen enough, takes two premeditated strides down the track and absolutely whacks Matt Henry for a huge six over deep mid-wicket. Goodness me that flew!

  12. Ind 7-0published at 2 overs

Really good over from Kyle Jamieson. Just a single off it.

England white-ball cricket is at a low granted but the batting is there, the fielding is good, a balance with the bowling attack needs to be found. The question is are those spinners and medium bowlers out there? England will return to winning ways when their belief in themselves returns.

The tall, angular Kyle Jamieson is the new bowler, jagging in all in black. He seams a beauty past the edge of Shubman Gill to start his spell.

I was waiting for him to play that pull shot.

I reckon that is hit as much in the middle of the bat as possible from Rohit Sharma.

'whizzing away to the boundary!' - Rohit smashes Henry's delivery over mid-wicket for four

Losing to get an 'easier' run to the final? The Southgate approach may come into play here.

Lovely ball from Matt Henry to beat Rohit for pace, that carried nicely. And again! Good opening over for NZ... until the final ball which Rohit rocks back on to whip through the leg side for four.

Maybe the team that loses this game has it easier in the semis on paper - that being said South Africa have been excellent in the last couple of tournaments

Rohit inside edges the first ball just past leg stump, instant hands on head for the NZ field and instant runs on the board.

I would rather face South Africa in the semis.

Every player in this New Zealand side has contributed one way or another but the India team probably haven't been tested as much.
