Well, I don't think anyone was expecting that start.

An early wicket for West Indies and England yet to score a run off the bat.

    Beautiful delivery from Jayden Seales.

It angles into Jamie Smith which entices him to go towards it.

Seales has started really well here. Disciplined with his lines and lengths and he's got his reward.

Jamie Smith goes without scoring. The perfect start for West Indies!

Smith goes for the big drive but Jayden Seales' delivery is a beauty, moving back in to the England opener, and his edged shot is caught safely by wicketkeeper Shai Hope.

England are going to come out and play strong shots. Both Jamie Smith and Ben Duckett play classic strokes but I can't see them waiting around and binding their time.

They might try and get ahead of the rate.

Jayden Seales is opening the bowling for West Indies and Jamie Smith begins England's chase with a defensive dot.

  7. West Indies fined for slow over-rate in first ODIpublished at 15:15 British Summer Time 1 June

One thing West Indies will be keen to keep an eye on today is their over rate after being fined for maintaining a slow over-rate during the first ODI at Edgbaston on 29 May.

Shai Hope’s side were found to be one over short of the required target at the end of the innings.

Match referee Jeff Crowe has imposed a five per cent fine on each player’s match fee.

Per ICC regulations, players are fined five per cent of their match fee for each over their side fails to bowl within the allotted time.

    Thanks Matt.

England are chasing 309. Can they do it? Thumbs up for yes, thumbs down for no.

There's Jofra Archer to come back, plus Gus Atkinson and Mark Wood. I agree with the below, however. Saqib Mahmood is establishing myself as one of the two new-ball bowlers.

Anyway. Ben Duckett and Jamie Smith have made their way down the steps from the dressing room. That means it's time for me to hand back to Elizabeth Botcherby.

With the wicket being so green, 308 seems like a very good total. The wicket favouring the bowlers today clearly.

Harry Brook's bowling deployment today was a bit reminiscent of Brendon McCullum's when he was the captain of New Zealand.

In the 2015 World Cup, New Zealand used just 9% of the fifth bowler's quota (amounting to around two overs) till the end of the 35th over, often relying on longer spells for their main bowlers in Trent Boult, Tim Southee, Adam Milne, and Daniel Vettori.

By the 35th over today, Brook had used eight overs each from his three seamers and six overs from Adil Rashid. Will be interesting to see if this becomes a pattern of his captaincy.

Carty makes century after two dropped catches

The highlight of West Indies innings was Keacy Carty. He was dropped twice but played very nicely after that to reach his fourth ODI century. They have all come in nine innings since the start of November.

    Not bad form!

England have performed underwhelmingly in the fielding side of this match, lets hope that these batters can get us the 2nd win under Harry Brook. Come on England!!!

Catches win matches guys! Tut tut tut. Will England live to regret their fielding?

England had four dropped catches and two missed run-outs, or three if you count when they could've run out both batsmen.

Hope smashes 'massive hit' into the trees for six

West Indies will be thinking about what could've been. The innings subsided somewhat from where it was at the 30 over mark.

Those last few overs when Shai Hope should've just been on strike more, he was starved of it and they lost wickets around him.

I'm pleased for Saqib Mahmood. He did a lot of the donkey work into the wind from that far end.

England will be pleased with the way they fought back there.

    A funny innings.

West Indies were 168-2 after 28 overs. At that point it looked like they would get a lot more.

But England also dropped four catches, which helped the tourists' cause. The wicket-taking at the end means they have a manageable chase ahead.

From mid-off Harry Brook takes the catch easily enough.

England's target is 309 and it could've been a few more.

They haven't been perfect in the field but they have managed to take all 10 wickets.
