A miserable, miserable morning for England.

They actually made a decent start through Harry Brook and Joe Root but after Brook was out on the cut after 40 minutes of play, England collapsed in dismal fashion.

Ben Stokes' dismissal summed it up. His mind looked utterly scrambled against spin as he shouldered arms to a straight ball and was plumb lbw for three.

Jamie Smith's shot was not pretty. He charged down the wicket, missed and was bowled.

Joe Root, the seventh wicket to fall, was the only one to get a really good ball as Noman Ali finished with six wickets and Sajid Khan four.

It meant England were dismissed for 112, leaving Pakistan needing just 36 to win the series.

It's not been ideal from an England perspective. Everything went wrong after Harry Brook went out.

Pakistan's lowest Test score is 49.

They only need 36 to win this match.

This and the last Test have been pretty horrible to watch at times but let’s not panic. Pakistan to their credit realised that preparing wickets that suit their excellent spinners would be too much for England and probably most other teams outside the sub continent. I think the tests against NZ will tell us more about where this team currently is.

Pakistan's coach/match-day strategist Jason Gillespie is applauding high above his head.

    It has been some turnaround.

Pakistan were hammered in the first Test. Now they will complete a procession to seal a series victory.

I think he might've been stumped on a wide there.

England have been bowled out here. Pakistan have been brilliant here this morning.

Leach st Rizwan b Noman 10 (Eng 112 all out)

A typically ugly way for a sorry innings to end but you can't really blame Jack Leach.

He has a dash down the pitch and is stumped by a fair distance.

Pakistan will need 36 runs to win. That was awful.

    This one is surely out.

Jack Leach is stumped but they're just checking the replays.

That would have been Sajid Khan's fifth wicket and 11th in the match. Will get another chance for his five-for?

Jonathan makes a fair point from Mill Hill. Had England gained the 50-run lead they could have yesterday a target of 170ish would have been challenging for Pakistan.

Say what you like about today’s batting collapse- this match was lost yesterday with the insane tactics after lunch. What should have been a decent first innings lead was surrendered by the bizarre tactics to let Pakistan milk the singles.

    Ooooft!

I should have given Shoaib Bashir more credit. The ball has hit him outside the line of off stump.

    On we go.

The Sri Lanka defeat at the end of the summer was described as England's worst of the Bazball era.

    Is this worse?

This has the caveat of being in spinning conditions but it isn't a dead rubber.

You can point at many different reasons that England have lost this series, but the biggest concern, for me, in recent years has been our complete inability to finish off tailenders when bowling. In conditions like this you can't afford to give up so many runs to the lower order.

It would be very fitting if Sajid Khan and Noman Ali both finish with five wickets in this innings.

They have bowled unchanged again this morning and have turned this series on its head since coming in for the second match.

What an impact Rehan Ahmed has had on the match.

The end is nigh, England have been dismal.

10 in the match for Sajid Khan! He's on his knees kissing the pitch.

Rehan Ahmed was trying to flick him over his shoulder but misses and is bowled.

    Make it stop.

The lowest target ever defended in the fourth innings of a Test is 85, if you're wondering.

England's bespectacled number 10 reverse sweeps his first ball for four. It's more of a reverse hack but I am feeling generous to Jack.

Someone find me the dumb and dumber gif.
