  1. WI 53-1published at 6.3 overs

    Target 137

John Kariko is the latest bowler entering the fray and he's managed to stem the tide in his first three balls.

  2. WI 52-1published at 6 overs

    Target 137

Sese Bao scored 50 earlier on but he's leaked 18 off one over with the ball there.

West Indies end the powerplay in nice touch.

Before the match, this is now what you'd expect to see.

You have to question the captaincy and whether there was another pace bowler they could have used there. Yes, there is a little bit there for the spinners, but the pace was going well generally.

    West Indies are now flying.

  5. WI 51-1published at 5.4 overs

    Target 137

Fetch that! Another monster of a six, Nicholas Pooran is here for a good time, not a long time. No stopping that, absolutely crushed over long off.

  6. 6 runs

    WI 44-1published at 5.2 overs

Sese Bau hit a 50 earlier on and now he's got the ball in his hand. Can he find more magic?

His first ball is absolutely smashed back over his head by Nicholas Pooran who suddenly finds his form. A huge six!

Followed by a four. WI have turned it on...

Brandon King is the difference at the moment.

West Indies are ahead of the run-rate but they are not getting there quite as they'd like at the moment I think. It isn't quite flowing for them how they'd like, particularly Nicholas Pooran.

  8. WI 34-1published at 5 overs

    Target 137

The required run-rate is just over seven and that will help, Brandon King feathering an edge to the fence for another four to end the over.

  9. 'Contrasting styles'published at 17:59 British Summer Time 2 June

    Geraint Jones
Former England and Papua New Guinea wicketkeeper on BBC Sounds

This is where Papua New Guinea will be trusting their processes.

They will be bowling stump to stumps and looking to restrict West Indies with the slower pace.

It is an interesting battle of contrasting styles.

  10. WI 29-1published at 4.3 overs

    Target 137

It's not a bowler's format is it? Chad Soper is the change of bowler, trundling in.

Nicholas Pooran is not having the start his team-mate at the other end is enjoying, he can't find the middle just yet and looks edgy in the crease.

Here he comes, looking for the big shot but he doesn't get hold of it and it's two, not six.

Who would be a bowler in T20 cricket? He was on top of the world an taking wickets and now he's under pressure again.

That is what batters do now and it's created the width for the final boundary.

    Brandon King is absolutely flying.

  13. WI 27-1published at 4 overs

    Target 137

What can Brandon King do against the nagging Nao? He comes down the track and tries to put him into the sea, but misses out altogether.

However he then does find the meat of the bat with a pleasing thunk, ruining Nao's magnficent start with a crisp four through deep cover. And again! Slapped away for another boundary.

  14. 'Perfect length'published at 17:53 British Summer Time 2 June

    Geraint Jones

West Indies can't get Alei Nao away at the moment. He's got his length perfect at the moment.

Nicholas Pooran doesn't want to be two off 10 balls.

  15. WI 19-1published at 3.3 overs

It could be Gloucester in early June, not Guyana. A blustery day in the stands for the sparse crowd out there.

Alei Nao has Nicholas Pooran in strife again, he looks a very handy bowler, finally conceding a single off his ninth ball.

All of a sudden the West Indies score is building quite quickly. PNG need to string some dots together.

  17. WI 18-1published at 3 overs

    Target 137

Good recovery from Kabua Morea as he swings one in to Brandon King, who is nearly a goner but insides edges into his pads and safety. King is then given width and finds the fence again, he's dealing only in boundaries today.

Nicholas Pooran is off the mark with a dab into the off side.

  18. 'Don't pitch it up!'published at 17:48 British Summer Time 2 June

    Geraint Jones
Former England and Papua New Guinea wicketkeeper on BBC Sounds

Don't pitch the ball up too much, it just allows the batter to put their bat through it.

The PNG bowlers have to work together as a partnership.

Brandon King has just picked up where he left off.

  20. WI 12-1published at 2.1 overs

Kabua Morea is the man to bowl from the other end - and Brandon King is dismissive as he slaps the first ball of the over to the long off fence.

    Lovely drive.
