  1. Postpublished at 14:49 BST 17 September

    Surrey 42-0 (Target 315)

Surrey going along at 3.5 runs per over as Notts search for this breakthrough.

Brett Hutton starts his seventh over of this innings - he has 0-16 but should have at least one in the wickets column.

  2. Postpublished at 14:47 BST 17 September

    Sussex 195-6 v Yorks 194

John Simpson on-drives George Hill for four past Dan Moriarty and Sussex have the lead at Hove. He is 57 not out.

  3. Five-wicket haul for Leachpublished at 14:47 BST 17 September

    Fuller lbw b Leach 24 (Somerset 454-8 dec v Hants 128-7)

A fair sized stride and attempted sweep but James Fuller misses and becomes Jack Leach's fifth victim.

The left armer now has figures of 19.2-8-35-5.

Somerset are in a very strong position as this pitch is not getting easier to bat on and sweeping might not be the answer for the lower order.

  4. Women's One-Day Cup updatepublished at 14:46 BST 17 September

Hampshire have lost their first wicket in the semi-final against Surrey, with Rhianna Southby caught off Alexa Stonehouse for 16.

They are 21-1 after three overs, chasing a target of 288 to win the game and go through to the final against Lancashire on Sunday.

  5. Postpublished at 14:44 BST 17 September

    Surrey 39-0 (Target 315)

Big shout for lbw from Brett Hutton on Dom Sibley.

Big inside edge first - good decision.

Still think Sibley got away with one earlier in that first over when it sounded like he nicked one down the leg side...

  6. Early tea at Bristol 🌧️published at 14:43 BST 17 September

    Gloucs 158-5 v Northants 206

It's still raining in Bristol, where tea will be taken at 14:55 BST.

  7. dropped catch

Dropped catchpublished at 14:39 BST 17 September

    Surrey 37-0 (Target 315)

Oh you can't afford to do that if you're Notts.

Rory Burns gets a big edge off Josh Tongue and Liam Patterson-White puts it down at first slip.

    That will hurt.

  8. Postpublished at 14:38 BST 17 September

    Sussex 187-6 v Yorks 194

    Was that a chance?

We'll give Adam Lyth the benefit of the doubt and say it just didn't quite carry to him at first slip.

John Simpson gets a leading edge to the next one from George Hill but the ball falls short of Finlay Bean at cover.

  9. Postpublished at 14:36 BST 17 September

    Surrey 34-0 (Target 315)

Brett Hutton swings one back into Rory Burns who jabs down on it and gets an inside edge into his pads.

Notts have put the third slip back in after the ball flew through there in a previous over.

Surrey will be satisfied with this start but know there are more tests to come when the lacquer comes off the ball.

Josh Tongue is on for his first spell.

  10. 'He's just fed his hunger'published at 14:35 BST 17 September

    Surrey 173 & 32-0 v Notts 231 & 256

    Roland Butcher
Former England batter on BBC Radio Surrey

Dillon Pennington has really got no rhythm at all. He's been far too short to both batters.

That's where Rory Burns likes it - outside the off stump and cut away for four.

Pennington has just fed his hunger with short and wide.

  11. Play to start at 3pm at Old Traffordpublished at 14:34 BST 17 September

    Lancs v Middx 189-8

The sun is out in Manchester now and the umpires have decided play will begin in 25 minutes.

Tea will be at 16:20 and there will be 43 overs in the day.

  12. 50 runs

for John Simpsonpublished at 14:33 BST 17 September

    Sussex 184-6 v Yorks 194

John Simpson is a doughty customer - and he pulls Matthew Revis for four to reach 50 from 93 balls.

Simpson has taken his batting to a new level since moving to Sussex from Middlesex - very consistent indeed.

  13. Postpublished at 14:32 BST 17 September

    Sussex 178-6 v Yorks 194

John Simpson chips a low full toss back to Matthew Revis, who fails to hold the chance with his left hand.

It is, though, a no-ball, so it wouldn't have counted anyway.

  14. Postpublished at 14:32 BST 17 September

    Surrey 31-0 (Target 315)

A first real loose delivery from the Notts attack is dispatched by Rory Burns.

Dillon Pennington drops one short and wide and the skipper slaps it away for four runs.

Pennington's riposte is to go past the outside edge.

There's plenty going on out there - plays and misses, boundaries and lots of noise in the field.

    This is so engrossing.

  15. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:31 BST 17 September

    Carson c Lyth b Hill 22 (Sussex 178-6 v Yorks 194)

George Hill has been probing away and now has his reward as Jack Carson edges to second slip where Adam Lyth picks up a low catch.

Fynn Hudson-Prentice comes out at number eight, but it will be John Simpson to face Matthew Revis at the start of the next over.

  16. Ouch!published at 14:30 BST 17 September

    Somerset 454-8 dec v Hants 102-6

James Fuller has nailed his first ball from Jack Leach on the pull and it has crashed straight into Tom Abell's helmet at short leg.

Abell looks okay and the helmet looks as though it did its job (it will be its last action) but the Somerset man is walked off for a concussion check.

  17. Postpublished at 14:28 BST 17 September

    Surrey 22-0 (Target 315)

A Rory Burns edge flies past second slip for four runs - it would have gone straight to a third slip which Notts have only recently taken out.

Brett Hutton comes back at the Surrey skipper and rips one past the outside edge to great oohs and aahs from everyone in the field.

Eat, sleep, repeat for the final ball of the over.

    Burns survives.

    A further 293 runs required.

  18. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:27 BST 17 September

    Sundar b Leach 23 (Somerset 454-8 v Hants 102-6)

    Jack LeachImage source, Getty Images

    Big wicket.

Round the wicket, that is an absolute ripper whipping through the swinging gate of Washington Sundar.

That answers the question as to whether Sundar might drag Hants to a massive partnership in the negative.

And with sight of the tail now this looks to be sliding Somerset's way.

  19. 50 stand for Sussexpublished at 14:26 BST 17 September

    Sussex 177-5 v Yorks 194

A blustery wind blows across the County Ground at Hove as Jordan Thompson starts a new over with a bouncer which clears John Simpson's helmet by some distance.

Jack Carson cuts for four later in the over before a fortuitous edge to the third man boundary brings up a 50 partnership from 70 balls.

  20. dropped catch

Organ dropped on 1published at 14:25 BST 17 September

    Somerset 454-8 dec v Hants 102-5

Another really difficult chance to Craig Overton at slip as Archie Vaughan gets a bit of lift and turn.

Overton gets a big paw to it low to his right but it just doesn't stick.

That is now both of these batsman (Washington Sundar and Organ) dropped on one by the all-rounder.
