There are emotional scenes in the England dressing room as Jimmy does some post-match interviews, watched on by all of his team-mates and the staff.

They've got drinks in hand already, raising a glass to him.

He is still remarkably modest, despite everything. You can tell he still feels a little awkward about all the fuss and attention, but he deserves every second of it.

An absolute bona fide legend of the game. The longevity, the skill, the sacrifice, the smile, the highs and lows. He is part of the furniture. Like a big comfy sofa for England cricket.

When the going gets tough he has always been there to bowl that spell, give the skipper something.

It has been an emotional day, but he got the send-off he thoroughly deserves.

Gus Atkinson seals a comprehensive victory for England!

Jayden Seales is caught on the boundary by Ben Duckett, and the debutant fast bowler finishes with 5-61 to go with his first-innings 7-47.

But it's Jimmy Anderson who takes the match ball and soaks in the applause as he walks off at Lord's.

He may not have taken the last wicket but the result will mean more to him. An incredible end for an incredible player.

They survive the rest of the over, despite a half-hearted lbw appeal from the final ball but it was clearly going down leg.

How many overs has Jimmy got left in him?

    Oooh!

Gudakesh Motie edges one just past Harry Brook at gully, before slogging one into the leg side but there are no fielders out there.

He then drills one through the covers for four.

He's swinging for everything off Atkinson's bowling, so if he's on strike for Anderson's next over, we could have something...

  14. WI 109-9published at 44 overs

Well, there was a chance earlier in the over but the West Indies pair survive it. We may not have the fairytale ending.

If you are Gudakesh Motie or Jayden Seales you would want to be Jimmy's last wicket, wouldn't you?

You could dine out on that forever.
