Four more for Duckett, throwing his hands at Starc's delivery to send the ball flying through the covers.
He follows that with a three through mid-on then, having returned to the strike, offers a leading edge in the same region.
This time it's picked up by the fielder there and Duckett has to dive for the crease at the bowler's end - replays show he'd have been gone with a direct hit.
Umpire's call on height - the ball tracker has the delivery just clipping the top of the bails.
Ben Duckett survives...
Starc thinks he has Ben Duckett here - he's struck the England opener on the pads and turns to offer a lengthy appeal to umpire Joel Wilson.
No movement from the official, so Mitchell Marsh sends the decision upstairs.

A look at Australia's record at Lord's in ODI cricket - they played here first in 1972 and beat England by five wickets and then lost their next five matches, including the 1975 World Cup final against West Indies.
Since then, they have won 13, tied one and lost only twice - comfortably the best record of any team in this ground!
Edged over second slip!
Salt advances again to Hazlewood and sends a thick edge flying over the outstretched hand of Steven Smith, with the ball racing away to the boundary.
Not the prettiest, but Salt will take it.

The combined average swing (1.36°) and average seam (0.93°) so far today is the second highest we've seen in the first five overs of an ODI innings at Lord's since records began in 2006.
Australia will be disappointed to not make the most of these conditions.
Mitchell Starc continues to rumble in, a couple of slips in place.
Phil Salt doesn't look especially settled, and after facing three dot balls he steps down to lash the ball back at the Australian seamer.
The ball clips Starc's shin and runs away for two.

It's in the slow nature of this pitch, the amount of time Ben Duckett had to ride the bounce from Josh Hazlewood there. Great control!
Duckett hits the first four of the innings, pulling hard to send Hazlewood's delivery to the square leg boundary.
The England opener sheds his jumper at the end of the over - it's warming up at Lord's.

From Ben P in West London: Oh my word. Patrick from W London (14:32), if this is the mural I pass every week, I love it! A spoonful of rain helps the bouncers stay down...

That was a very difficult return chance, hit very hard at Mitchell Starc!
A hard chance from Mitchell Starc's opening delivery - I'm not sure you can call it a drop - with Duckett driving the ball back hard and low, the Australia seamer gets a bit of hand on it.
Duckett starts to fire from the back end of the over, hitting three consecutive twos. The first is a big waft at a wide-ish delivery, with the ball flashing out to deep third, the latter two more controlled, clipped to square and a drive into the covers.
This is the 17th time England have been put into bat after losing the toss in an ODI at Lord's.
Of the previous 16 matches, England won eight, lost seven, with one no result.

Bryan, Maidstone: Re Ian (14:45): when I was growing up the then-mighty Kent used to play at Maidstone for a festival week. I well remember Mark Ealham, two years my senior, smashing a Sunday League 100 off 44 balls at Mote Park in what I think is still the all-time fastest 40 over century. Mote Park is about the size of a tennis court. At the time that was considered completely unbeatable!

The sun has broken through at Lord's and, with that, hopefully I can end my stint as temporary weather correspondent and get back to the cricket.
Josh Hazlewood gets going with a maiden to Phil Salt.
The England opener advances down the track but doesn't get bat on the delivery, with the ball slipping off his pad and rolling slowly... just past the leg stump.

Peter, Derby: Idea to ensure play in September: Both teams to stay in a hotel in Derby (centre of England / Wales in terms of rail connection). Pitches to be prepared at five grounds across the country. Based on whether the game goes ahead at the ground with the best forecast, tickets refunded at all other grounds where the game doesn’t go ahead. Surely a no brainer?
Own a hotel in Derby, do you, Peter?

Applause for the sun! There we go, for the first time today!
Salt gets England off the mark with a nudge into the leg side.
And hello, what's this? Suddenly the sun is out to greet Ben Duckett's arrival at the crease.
Starc jags his final delivery past Duckett's bat - handy.
