  1. Eng 191-3published at 27 overs

Harry Brook's judgment of length has been spot on.

He drills Adam Zampa's last-but-one delivery for four through the covers.

Brook has looked in fine touch today.

  2. Eng 183-3published at 26 overs

Sean Abbott, sporting a cookie-duster moustache, bangs it in short to Harry Brook at the end of his sixth over.

It's a lively bouncer, and Brook takes on the hook. The ball flashes off the top edge and goes over the diving Josh Inglis for four.

Abbott has his head in his hands.

  4. Eng 173-3published at 25.4 overs

There's a touch of Patrick Swayze in Dirty Dancing about Adam Zampa's look today.

  5. 6 runs

    Eng 171-3published at 25 overs

Harry Brook, this time, clears the boundary.

Another drag down from Adam Zampa and Brook swivels on his heels and wallops it over mid-wicket for six.

England could do with maintaining this bombastic biffing.

Jamie Smith has launched that first one way over the long-on boundary! Terrific shot!

  7. 6 runs

    Eng 163-3published at 24.1 overs

Jamie Smith's had a couple of sighters and this time he connects.

Down on one knee the England wicketkeeper heaves across the line, dispatching the Aussie leg-spinner over the ropes.

    Zampa purses his lips.

  8. 50 runs

Fifty for Brookpublished at 39 overs

Harry Brook pulls a chapstick out of his pocket while at the non-striker's end and daubs some on to his lips.

A miscued heave-ho from Jamie Smith to Mitchell Marsh brings the England captain on strike.

Brook effortlessly cuts Marsh for a single to bring up his half-century off 37 balls.

  9. Eng 150-3published at 23 overs

Ben Duckett chunters to himself as he walks off. He was not quite in control of that shot, and has almost top edged it.

Jamie Smith the new batter. England could do with a few overs of him going berserk.

Adam Zampa just has that knack. It's not easy to bowl leg-spin in these conditions, but he picks up a really crucial wicket for Australia.

The shot was on and Ben Duckett had a big gap to hit it, but I don't think he can quite believe he picked out that fielder!

  11. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 22.4 overs

    Duckett c Abbott b Zampa 63 (Eng 150-3)

Ben Duckett slaps a filthy long hop from Adam Zampa for four, but is gone next ball.

The England left-hander slog sweeps a flatter delivery from Zampa but cannot get the elevation, or the distance, and Sean Abbott pouches a routine catch in the deep.

I don't think Harry Brook tried to hit that second four at all!

  13. Eng 145-2published at 22 overs

Back-to-back fours from Harry Brook, who has been brimming with classical confidence here.

He adroitly cuts Glenn Maxwell down to the boundary through point then elegantly clips through square for another.

    Delightful to watch.

That's the biggest wide I've seen in one-day cricket for a very long time!

  15. Eng 136-2published at 21.2 overs

Mitchell Marsh, who isn't shy of rotating his bowlers, turns to Glenn Maxwell.

A couple of wides, and a couple of singles, in his first few balls.

  16. Eng 132-2published at 21 overs

Heart-in-the-mouth shot from Harry Book as he cloths a slower-ball bouncer from Sean Abbott to mid-wicket, but it just eludes the fielder.

I think Sean Abbott saw that from Ben Duckett and was trying to fire in a yorker. But when you miss that, it makes that ramp shot a lot easier!

It hasn't been easy for Duckett. The ball has swung and nipped a little bit. Against high-quality bowling, he's played well. He's soaked up a lot of pressure!

  18. Eng 128-2published at 20.2 overs

Crafty from Ben Duckett, who shuffles across the crease to Sean Abbott and ramps him for four over the head of wicketkeeper Josh Inglis.

Harry Brook has picked up where he left off in Durham. His timing so far in this innings has been immaculate.

  20. Eng 123-2published at 39 overs

Adam Zampa dangles the carrot to Harry Brook as he gives it a bit of air to the Yorkshireman, who plays it dead late and biffs through the covers for four.

Next ball it comes flatter from Zampa, but Brook has picked his change up and drives him to the fence off the back foot.

Brook has 31 off 24 balls.
