  1. Eng 56-1published at 11 overs

Duckett gets four from the final ball of the over, firing Abbott's delivery back down the ground.

Prior to that review, England brought up their fifty from 10.2 overs, as Jacks took a single into the covers.

  2. Not outpublished at 10.4 overs

Pitching outside leg, with the right-handed Abbott bowling to the left-handed Duckett.

  3. Umpire reviewpublished at 10.4 overs

Duckett struck on the pads again, Australia go up again, Joel Wilson says no again.

...and Mitchell Marsh sends it upstairs again.

As much as it pains for me to say this, but Josh Hazlewood deserved that wicket. He's beaten the bat time and time again against Phil Salt!

  5. Eng 49-1published at 10 overs

Will Jacks gets off the mark straight away, knocking a single into the covers.

He made 84 at Chester-le-Street on Tuesday, putting on 156 for the third wicket with Harry Brook.

    WICKETpublished at 9.4 overs

    Salt c Labuschagne b Hazlewood 22 (Eng 48-1)

    Australia make the breakthrough!

Phil Salt hadn't looked remotely comfortable against Starc and Hazlewood, and it's the latter of those who nabs him.

It's an outside edge to Marnus Labuschagne at point that brings a rather scratchy innings to a close.

I think a good total here would be somewhere around 220, because they've beaten the bat a lot here already.

Mark, Somerset: Today is the latest in the year that Lord's has hosted a men or women's international. The previous record was 24th September 2022, England v India women's ODI (the Deepti Sharma mankad of Charlie Dean match).

Feels like those back-to-back boundaries from Phil Salt will relieve a little bit of pressure for England.

  10. Eng 47-0published at 9 overs

Duckett inside edges Abbott's penultimate delivery past his stumps.

Josh Hazlewood collects the ball rather awkwardly on the fine leg boundary, restricting England to two.

  11. Eng 43-0published at 8.2 overs

A first change for Australia as Sean Abbott replaces Mitchell Starc.

The seamer's first two balls are short and wide and Salt dispatches both for four through backward point.

  12. Eng 35-0published at 8 overs

Hazlewood sends down four dot balls to Ben Duckett before the England openers take a couple of singles to end today's shortened powerplay.

Duckett in on 19 from 26, Salt 13 from 22.

Terry, Rome: Salt seems a bit out of nick, and he can definitely play better than this. But his struggles with the moving ball here show that the talk about him being an option for the Test team keeper before they picked Smith was a bit daft!

Ben Duckett could have been run out at the non-striker's end there. That was close had Sean Abbott hit the stumps.

  15. Eng 33-0published at 7 overs

Four more for Duckett, throwing his hands at Starc's delivery to send the ball flying through the covers.

He follows that with a three through mid-on then, having returned to the strike, offers a leading edge in the same region.

This time it's picked up by the fielder there and Duckett has to dive for the crease at the bowler's end - replays show he'd have been gone with a direct hit.

  16. Not outpublished at 6.2 overs

Umpire's call on height - the ball tracker has the delivery just clipping the top of the bails.

    Ben Duckett survives...

  17. Umpire reviewpublished at 6.2 overs

Starc thinks he has Ben Duckett here - he's struck the England opener on the pads and turns to offer a lengthy appeal to umpire Joel Wilson.

No movement from the official, so Mitchell Marsh sends the decision upstairs.

A look at Australia's record at Lord's in ODI cricket - they played here first in 1972 and beat England by five wickets and then lost their next five matches, including the 1975 World Cup final against West Indies.

Since then, they have won 13, tied one and lost only twice - comfortably the best record of any team in this ground!

  19. Eng 23-0published at 6 overs

    Edged over second slip!

Salt advances again to Hazlewood and sends a thick edge flying over the outstretched hand of Steven Smith, with the ball racing away to the boundary.

Not the prettiest, but Salt will take it.

The combined average swing (1.36°) and average seam (0.93°) so far today is the second highest we've seen in the first five overs of an ODI innings at Lord's since records began in 2006.

Australia will be disappointed to not make the most of these conditions.
