  1. Sco 52-0published at 6.4 overs

Lovely start from Moeen Ali. Dot ball, followed by a single.

Let's go! England run out to the middle, followed by Michael Jones and George Munsey.

22 balls left of Scotland's innings, for them to get as many as they can. After that, we'll know England's revised DLS target.

Moeen Ali will finish his over first up here and then Adil Rashid has to bowl the one after that - to give him the option of another later.

The debate will then be whether Liam Livingstone or Chris Jordan bowl the ninth.

  4. Postpublished at 19:04 British Summer Time 4 June

So, no Jofra Archer or Mark Wood - but the good news is two full overs of Adil Rashid.

    How crucial could that be?

It will be two overs per bowler in the remaining innings.

That means Jofra Archer and Mark Wood cannot bowl again. Moeen Ali has four balls left.

Well, what a turn around! This is going to be fun.

It'll be 10 overs each which means Scotland have 22 balls left to bash their way to a good total (with a boost from DLS).

    We have news.

A 10-over per side match will begin in 20 minutes.

Still no news from the middle but it does seem to have stopped raining and the mop-up operation is under way.

The umpires are going for another inspection in around five minutes.

A reminder that the cut-off time for a five-over match is 19:52 BST (14:52 local time).

  9. Netherlands v Nepalpublished at 18:45 British Summer Time 4 June

Nepal 106 all out (19.2 overs)

    Mike Peter
    BBC Sport journalist

All done for Nepal in Dallas.

Their lower order came out swinging, striking the match's first three sixes to just slip past the hundred mark, something that had looked unlikely at points of the innings.

Captain Rohit Paudel saw his skier caught by Max O'Dowd, before three wickets fell in four balls, including the first two of Logan van Beek's final over, to end the Nepalese effort prematurely.

  10. Cummins signs for San Francisco Unicornspublished at 18:40 British Summer Time 4 June

Meanwhile, the big news from cricket in the United States just keeps on coming.

Australian Test skipper Pat Cummins has signed a four-year deal to play for San Francisco Unicorns in Major League Cricket, the USA's franchise league.

It's a big statement from MLC - its debut season was in July last year, so it's a big clash with the UK summer. The knock-on effect on player availability for The Hundred, which is already pretty limited, could be huge.

Here's a few highlights from the limited play we've had so far.

George Munsey and Michael Jones have put Scotland in a cracking position, helped by some loose England bowling.

They batted brilliantly but it's not quite a 10/11 runs an over pitch - from what we've seen so far, anyway. England could have a tricky task ahead of them.

It looks like they're starting a clear-up operation here.

If that's the required chase for England, it could make things very interesting indeed.

Scotland made a great start with the bat but the pitch was starting to slow down and offer some uneven bounce before the rain came.

If Scotland don't bat further, here are England's targets based on the overs the game could be reduced to:

In a five-over chase, the target would be 66, while they would need 77 if it were to be six overs.

Thanks to our friends at CricViz for those numbers.

  15. Netherlands v Nepalpublished at 18:19 British Summer Time 4 June

    Nepal 75-6 (15 overs)

    Mike Peter
    BBC Sport journalist

Increasingly little joy to be found for the big Nepal following in Dallas, with their side slipping to 75-6 against the Netherlands.

Durham all-rounder Bas de Leede sent down a wicket maiden in the eleventh over, taking the edge of Dipendra Singh Airee from his fourth ball for an easy catch for Logan van Beek.

Sompal Kami was then removed for a duck, a Paul van Meekeren in-ducker splaying his stumps.

We've had official word that the cut-off time to start a five-over slog is 14:52 local time - 19:52 BST.

The rain is only light now but it's dark behind the stands.

    Cheers, George.

Great rain delay stint, that. A rite of passage for any cricket live-texter but never an enjoyable one.

Right, I'm going to sort myself some food while the rain continues to fall.

BBC Test Match Special commentator Henry Moeran on X: If there’s enough clear weather for a game (five overs minimum), we think England would need 66 runs. But there's no certainty we’ll get a game - it’s hammering down!
