This rain is heavy now. The beach in front of the stand has emptied.

  3. Sco 51-0published at 17:03 British Summer Time 4 June

England thought they'd halted the Scottish momentum when George Munsey hit a quick ball from Mark Wood straight up in the air, but as you can see below, the celebrations were short-lived.

Scotland will be itching to get back out there as soon as they can because if the overs are reduced, it massively benefits the team batting second.

    Sco 51-0

    Boooo!

It's chucking it down in Barbados, and the ground staff duly race on with a massive tarpaulin.

Let's hope it blows through quickly.

Scotland would have wanted to throw the first punch and they have done that with a solid powerplay, especially taking 15 runs from that final over.

  8. How's stat?!published at 16:54 British Summer Time 4 June

Chris Jordan has found his way back into the England T20 set-up but in his last 10 games, his bowling average of 58.4 is much higher than his career average of 36.1. As you would expect, his strike-rate is also up to 57.1 from 36.1 and his economy rate is marginally worse.

  9. Sco 49-0published at 6 overs

A single into the off side ends the powerplay.

Munsey has 17, while Jones has an eye-catching 29.

Again, he has absolutely pounced on that. Michael Jones is very tall with a wide stance which allows him to keep very still in his base and he picks up length very quickly.

It was too short again from Chris Jordan.

  11. Sco 48-0published at 5.5 overs

And the next ball is belted through the covers for four, before Jones rocks back and smashes another boundary through midwicket.

    He looks in great touch.

You don't want to damage a solar panel, they come with quite a big price tag.

But it's a massive shot, you'll have to go and find that ball in the road somewhere.

  13. 6 runs

    Sco 40-0published at 5.2 overs

Chris Jordan is on to bowl the final over of the powerplay, and is belted out of the ground by Michael Jones.

It's a commanding pull shot, one which he stands and admires. Rightly so.

  14. Sco 34-0published at 5 overs

Wood is really steaming in now, but Scotland just about survive the rest of the over.

They are going at just under seven-an-over, and have a good platform to build on.

  16. Not outpublished at 4.3 overs

    Sco 31-0

England think they have their first as Munsey miscues one straight up in the air.

It's safely pouched by Jos Buttler running backwards, but the celebrations are cut short by a no-ball call.

Wood oversteps, and Munsey gets a life.

    Ex-Scotland batter on BBC Sounds

Very happy with this composed start from Scotland. A break of that length is an opening batter's worst nightmare but they've made a very solid start.

Both Jones and Munsey have played some lovely shots. It's not exactly a flying start but if they can get through the powerplay they'll have a really good platform to work with.

  18. Sco 29-0published at 4 overs

Mark Wood returns and starts with a bouncer that sails over George Munsey's head and is called a wide.

Jofra Archer has got all the tricks, he's got a couple of different slower balls that he uses and then adds the express pace to keep you on your toes.
