  1. Sco 28-0published at 4 overs

There's the Jofra Archer we know and love.

A seriously quick bouncer to end the over, and Michael Jones gets nowhere near it.

Just a couple of singles from it.

We haven't seen any variable bounce yet, which we did see in the first game here the other night. That makes the sweep a pretty safe option.

  3. Sco 26-0published at 3 overs

Munsey loves a sweep and his go-to shot brings him four more through square leg.

Scotland will be chuffed with this start.

  4. Sco 22-0published at 2.2 overs

Spin into the attack early, as Moeen Ali replaces Mark Wood.

George Munsey sweeps confidently to the boundary to continue the Scottish momentum.

Lovely start from Scotland. When you're playing in a game like this, with its magnitude, getting an early boundary as they both have is so important.

  6. Sco 16-0published at 2 overs

The final ball of the over hurries Jones up a wee bit, but it lands safe off a thick top edge.

Meanwhile, the ground staff are loitering at the boundary. Rain, rain, go away.

Nice work from Michael Jones, getting on top of the bounce which he's able to do quite comfortably with his height.

A few really good-looking shots and a lovely crunch off the bat for that boundary.

  8. Sco 14-0published at 1.3 overs

Short from Archer and punched through the off side for two by Michael Jones.

It's almost an exact replay off the second ball of the over and the Durham opener takes another couple, before creaming one through the covers for four.

    Shot.

When Jofra Archer first went to play for England, a lot of people from the West Indies were a little bit disgruntled - and the same with Chris Jordan, who went to school five minutes away from here.

So there was disappointment but this is a great opportunity for young kids from Barbados to see his world-class talent up close. And in fairness to Jofra, whenever he's back here he'll play club cricket, he's always helping out with younger players and give something back.

He's missed the last couple of games at the Kensington Oval and it's amazing to finally see him here.

  10. Sco 6-0published at 1 over

A couple of dot balls end the over.

It'll be Jofra Archer on his home ground from the other end.

Dismissive from George Munsey. It wasn't particularly elegant but it was struck firmly and that'll settle the early nerves.

That was a shot of real authority!

  13. Sco 6-0published at 0.4 overs

Full and quick again from Mark Wood, but George Munsey is equal to it and smashes it over mid-on for the first boundary of the day.

It's not the prettiest shot you'll ever see, but it's effective.

When you've got the new ball, you can overcomplicate it sometimes. You can think about swing, the conditions, the bounce - but ultimately Mark Wood just needs to send it down as quickly as he can.

  15. Sco 1-0published at 0.2 overs

Big swing first up for Mark Wood.

Scotland get off the mark with a leg-bye.

  16. Sco 0-0published at 16:25

Mark Wood has the new ball for England.

George Munsey and Michael Jones are at the crease for Scotland.

    Here we go...

There are a fair few Scotland fans here in Barbados. There was a group belting out Flower of Scotland where we had food last night.

God save the King follows Flower of Scotland, and the players make their way out to the middle.

    It's nearly go-time.

    Thanks Mike.

The offending wet patch has been dried off with a leaf blower (yes really), and we're almost ready to go in Barbados.

    First though, the anthems.

Right, with play almost upon us, my work here is done. Like the ageing club comic at a TV recording, I've attempted to warm-up an audience who just want to see the show, and now it's time for me to exit the stage.

Here's your main event, your Parkinson, your Wogan, your George O'Neill.

    (Oh, and the match itself)
