The faintest of spikes on Ultraedge but that is all it requires.

Australia are jubilant. Pakistan in a bit of a hole.

Alyssa Healy is extremely quick to review this one.

  3. Australia reviewpublished at 5 overs

Alyssa Healy is convinced Sadaf Shamas has feathered into her gloves here.

The umpire says not out but Healy immediately sends it upstairs.

  4. Pak 15-1published at 4 overs

You can sense the nerves out there.

New batter Sadaf Shamas pushes for a very risky single. Sophie Molineux collects and has plenty of time to throw down the stumps, but her effort misses and Pakistan gain an extra run on the overthrow.

The first time we have seen some intent.

Muneeba Ali has gone for the slog sweep, but she hasn't managed to get it over the head of Phoebe Litchfield.

    Litchfield is an excellent fielder.

    Muneeba c Litchfield b Molineux (Pak 13-1)

Sophie Molineux strikes in her first over!

Muneeba Ali, who did not look comfortable out there, attempts the slog-sweep but only picks out Phoebe Litchfield, who takes a routine catch just above her head.

The left and right hand combination [of Muneeba Ali and Sidra Ameen] is a nightmare as a bowler - it is something that teams are starting to do well.

Australia and Pakistan will try to keep them combinations through their innings - it keeps the bowlers on their toes.

  9. Pak 11-0published at 3 overs

It has been a nervy start from Muneeba Ali, who has struggled to time the ball so far. She manages to clear the covers with an expansive half-volley but only brings a single.

There is a strangled appeal from Megan Schutt as she gets one to jag back in to Sidra Amin, but the ball was going down leg.

For Pakistan they want to take games deep, they don't want to get bowled out earlier on.

Sometimes once the top order hasn't performed we see collapses, we saw it with Bangladesh yesterday.

Pakistan need to have confidence in themselves.

  11. Pak 9-0published at 2 overs

A touch of fortune for Muneeba Ali as she steps right across her stumps and goes for a sweep-shot, with the ball brushing off her gloves and escaping past Alyssa Healy, with Pakistan running two.

Sidra Amin ends the over with a couple of cleaner sweep-shots that bring three runs.

This has been a decent start by Pakistan, who will be wary of losing early wickets.

    This is bad news.

Tayla Vlaeminck has a history of shoulder injuries, she's been out for nine months with a dislocated shoulder.

  14. Pak 2-0published at 1 overs

Oh no, this does not look good for Tayla Vlaeminck.

A thick edge from Muneeba Ali flies towards the deep third boundary. Vlaeminck does well to claw it back before the rope but her knee gets stuck in the outfield and she then lands awkwardly on her shoulder.

Vlaeminck looked to be in some pain as she is helped off the field. Darcie Brown is on as sub fielder.

  15. Pak 0-0published at 0.3 overs

Australia played the first two games in Sharjah, where the pitches were slow.

There were hopes of a quicker surface in Dubai, but a couple of early deliveries from Megan Schutt seem to take an age to make it through to wicketkeeper Alyssa Healy.

That is a fairly ominous stat.

After two rousing renditions of the respective national anthems, we are ready to go.

Pakistan openers Muneeba Ali and Sidra Amin stride out to the middle. Megan Schutt will open the bowling for Australia.

The absence of captain Fatima Sana is a huge blow for Pakistan.

She has a T20 international batting average of 48 from five innings as Pakistan skipper, the best average of any of the seven players to captain Pakistan in the women’s format.

Sana is also the joint-highest wicket-taker for Pakistan at this tournament and has best strike rate of 153.57.

    Australia's batting line-up is ridiculous.

Sophie Molineux opens in domestic cricket and she'll comes in at 10 today - that tells you everything you need to know about Australia.
