Eng 15-0published at 4 overs

A much tighter second over from Anshul Kamboj, who looks skiddy rather than quick.
Running repairs to the pitch with some issues with the bowler's footmarks by the looks.

I like this move using Anshul Kamboj with the new ball.

Test Match Special statistician
Anshul Kamboj has opened the bowling in 38 of the 42 first class innings that he's played in.

I'm surprised they gave Anshul Kamboj the new ball. it's a big, big moment for India, they can't let England get off to a flyer. Surely they'd be using Mohammed Siraj.
Jasprit Bumrah is a little straighter to Zak Crawley at the start of his second over to get him playing before pushing him a little wider, with the England opener happy to leave.
12 balls and Crawley yet to get off the mark.

There's a bit of swing out there but there's not as much of that seam movement that we saw this morning.

I believe that there are ridges on this pitch and it will start to affect how the ball moves as the game goes on.
Almost a bizarre hit wicket from Ben Duckett after he gets himself in a bit of tangle and nearly drops his bat on to the stumps.
Final two balls of the over and twice Duckett clips Anshul Kamboj square of the wicket for four. Nicely done.

Anshul Kamboj got something on it, that went flying.
Anshul Kamboj with his first over in Test cricket.
His second delivery is down the leg side and Ben Duckett gloves it just past a spectacular dive from Dhruv Jurel.
Four rather fortuitous runs for the England opener.

Former England captain on BBC Test Match Special
I think India have got a good score. If they bowl well, they can create chances. They say don't judge a pitch until you've seen both teams bat, England may perform differently on this, they've got a deep line up. I do think this is a competitive score though.
Jasprit Bumrah could really be a handful on here.
A maiden to start for England and Zak Crawley.

The last wicket came so fast I didn’t get a chance to add Mount Kohlimanjaro to the list of cricketing hills…

One more ball is the answer!
Another delivery that Zak Crawley should have left to Jasprit Bumrah but instead ends up wafting outside off stump. No edge, though.

This is going to be great fun this, Jasprit Bumrah will carry on dangling the carrot. How long can Zak Crawley resist it?
A nice bit of away shape from Jasprit Bumrah to Zak Crawley who leaves his first three deliveries from the India seam bowler outside off stump.
How long will Crawley wait before thrusting his hands at one...

England taking wickets seriously interrupting the creative flow of making cricketing hill puns!

England bowling to the tail has been a tough watch in recent years. Since the beginning of 2023 up until the start of this series, England were averaging 16.91 with the ball when bowling to batters 9-11. The only team with a worse record in this period was Pakistan. In this series, the Indian tail has not wagged, and England have averaged 5.21 with the ball against the last three batters.
