Ama Kanchana hoiks one miles into the sky, it's swirling and lands...safe!

England bowler on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra

New Zealand have brought it back nicely, they had a couple more extras than they would have liked.

You feel if Sri Lanka get 10 off this over and get to the 116 mark it's going to be under-par.

Leigh Kasperek has the honour of bowling the final over.

  5. SL 106-5published at 19 overs

  8. 'Kerr is asking questions'published at 12:19 British Summer Time 12 October

    Tash Farrant
England bowler on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra

    Melie Kerr is asking questions.

Melie Kerr definitely bowls a lot more wrong'uns now. Her percentage of wrong'uns to leg-spin is higher than when she started.

  9. Postpublished at 12:18 British Summer Time 12 October

Even 120 looks a tall ask now with 12 balls left.

  10. SL 100-5published at 18 overs

Melie Kerr nearly has another with a wrong'un that is not picked. New Zealand have done well to steer this innings back on track but that is at least the 100 up for Sri Lanka for the first time in the tournament.

Kavisha Dilhari reviewed in hope more than expectation and the replays gave her no grounds for any sort of reprieve. Another wicket for Melie Kerr.

  12. Batter reviewpublished at 12:13 British Summer Time 12 October

Kavisha Dilhari is given out lbw but she's reviewed. Might as well at this point.

  13. Kerr makes simple catch to remove Samarawickramapublished at 12:13 British Summer Time 12 October

And as is ever the case, one did indeed bring two.

  14. Surging Athapaththu removed by Kerrpublished at 12:11 British Summer Time 12 October

Captain Chamari Athapaththu was set and looking good. This was a very important wicket.

  15. 'Slow is the way to go!'published at 12:11 British Summer Time 12 October

    Tash Farrant
England bowler on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra

Slow is the way to go! It's a good catch from Sophie Devine. She was so quick off the mark, the first couple of steps are the most important when the ball goes up in the air.

There's been some shockers in this tournament and every time the ball goes up I don't feel 100% that it is going to be caught.

  16. SL 94-4published at 16.4 overs

Oh yes, Nilakshi de Silva! First ball paddle swept for four.

Really good catch! Anushka Sanjeewani advances to Leigh Kasperek and plays a shot the match situation dictates, she gets plenty of it and it looks like a boundary initially but Sophie Devine is able to backtrack from mid off and make a fine grab.

  18. SL 89-3published at 16 overs

Good running between the wickets in this mega heat. Sri Lanka tick it over.

  19. 'A brave shot'published at 12:06 British Summer Time 12 October

    Tash Farrant
England bowler on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra

    That was the Dilshan!

Right over the helmet. Doing that on the first ball from Sophie Devine is a brave shot.

  20. Sl 84-3published at 15.3 overs

Scoop! Lovely from Kavisha Dilhari to flick the ball over the keeper's head for four. Pre-meditated and pretty much perfection.

What's a good score from here?
