  1. Postpublished at 10 overs

    Bears 63-4 v Glos 138

    Pressure on again.

Chris Benjamin is the new bat and he's away first ball with a drive to long-off either side of singles to Sam Hain.

A big cry for lbw against Hain last ball but it's sliding down.

This game is up for grabs now.

  2. 'Bears knockout record coming back to haunt them again'published at 21:15 British Summer Time 6 September

    Bears 56-4 v Glos 138

    Melissa Story
    BBC Gloucestershire commentator

It is a big wicket. Jacob Bethell has been so successful this season for Warwickshire, Birmingham Phoenix and the Bears!

Bears have a less-than-convincing record in knockout games and it is coming back to haunt them again.

    Ollie Price again.

Two singles before Sam Hain gets a cut backward of point and a good save on the fence saves four but they get two.

He works two more wide of long-on before another single to leg.

Jacob Bethell then rocks back and tries to lift one over the off side but lobs it to extra-cover!

Just when Bears appeared to have settled they lose another.

  4. Postpublished at 8 overs

    Bears 52-3 v Glos 138

More spin now with Tom Smith into the attack.

He almost squeezes one past Sam Hain first ball but he's finally off the mark to his eighth delivery.

Two singles follow to bring the 50 up.

Jacob Bethell pulls for one to deep midwicket before Hain sweetly drives another single.

Five from. And that's all the Bears need at the moment chasing such a small total. They just need a partnership.

  5. 'Bears making heavy weather of chase'published at 21:06 British Summer Time 6 September

    Bears 48-3 v Glos 138

    Clive Eakin
    BBC CWR Sport

This is not a job done yet for the Bears. They are making heavy weather of it.

It is a good review from Gloucestershire. They only have one review and they have to be careful - that is why they didn't use it the ball before.

  6. Postpublished at 7 overs

    Bears 47-3 v Glos 138

Another new England man out there now with Jacob Bethell replacing Dan Mousley.

He's off the mark first ball with a flick wide of midwicket.

    Nothing on ultra edge.

And ball tracking has it hitting the top of leg stump!

Dan Mousley trying to pull and it skidded on under his bat.

First view it looked plumb and the review was a good one.

  8. LBW reviewpublished at 6.5 overs

    Bears 45-2 v Glos 138

Ollie Price is on with his off spin.

He drags the first ball down and is pulled for six over the short leg side fence by Dan Mousley.

He tries again and gets a big top edge - but it lands agonisingly short of short-fine leg running in! Huge slice of luck.

A big cry for lbw against Sam Hain but surely pitching outside leg from round the wicket? No review asked for.

But a second shout against Mousley and this time a review!

  9. 'Glos won the powerplay handsomely'published at 21:02 British Summer Time 6 September

    Bears 37-2 v Glos 138

    Clive Eakin
    BBC CWR Sport

For what it's worth, this might not be much, Gloucestershire won the powerplay handsomely - 54-1 playing 37-2.

Of course, the Bears have the benefit of knowing what they need, but you can get into a bit of a muddle chasing these low targets.

  10. Postpublished at 6 overs

    Bears 37-2 v Glos 138

Final over of the powerplay and Josh Shaw is back. Sam Hain the new man.

Single, wide, then a firm punch from Hain to extra-cover.

Hain gives himself room outside leg and Shaw fires it outside off and inside the guidelines.

Another off drive finds the fielder. A dot. Then an attempted paddle-sweep misses.

Great end to the powerplay for The Shire and it's game on.

  11. 'Not a lot he could do'published at 20:56 British Summer Time 6 September

    Bears 35-2 v Glos 138

    Melissa Story

Moeen Ali makes his way off the pitch with a slow trudge but there isn't a lot he could do. It was a fantastic delivery from Payne.

David Payne getting a third over.

But Moeen Ali takes a slightly full one and whacks it over cow corner for six! Such a sweet strike.

He then edges to third man for four! No slip in place. Did open the blade but it was a thin nick.

No doubt about the next ball though - hammered down the ground for six more!

But then Moeen nicks a length ball behind!

    Huge relief for Gloucestershire.

  13. 'Amazing the change of tone after a misfield'published at 20:51 British Summer Time 6 September

    Bears 19-1 v Gloucs 138

    Mike Taylor
    BBC WM commentator

In a low-scoring game that is five runs that the Bears have picked up already. The standards are that high.

The odd misfield happens but in these games, it almost breaks the spell when the bowler is on top. It is amazing the change in the tone after a misfield.

  14. Postpublished at 4 overs

    Bears 19-1 v Glos 138

Matt Taylor takes over at the city end.

He's driven to deep point for one first ball by Mousley.

But then Moeen gets up on his toes to play a classic back-foot drive wide of the same fielder for the first boundary of the chase.

A front-foot drive then goes straight through extra-cover for four more! Should have been stopped.

    Two dots rescues the over.

  15. Postpublished at 3 overs

    Bears 9-1 v Glos 138

Dan Mousley the new man and he's away second ball with a flick to deep square.

Another cracking over from David Payne.

    The Shire have a foothold.

  16. wicket

    Bears 8-1 v Glos 138

    Second over from David Payne.

Wide, single, then a nudge just wide of mid-off for two via a misfield.

Then Alex Davies pulls towards the Hollies Stand, doesn't get anywhere near enough on it and is well held by Ollie Price!

    Breakthrough for the Glosters!

    Bears 4-0 v Glos 138

Alex Davies needed some treatment to his eye so hope he's okay here.

He's facing Josh Shaw from the city end.

And clubs the second ball down the ground for a couple. Didn't get all of it. Before a single to mid-off.

Moeen then almost taps a catch back to the bowler. It just died away from his left hand. He gets a toe-end for a single last ball.

    New willow needed.

  18. 'Increasingly difficult to bat?'published at 20:38 British Summer Time 6 September

    Bears 0-0 v Gloucs 138

    Melissa Story
    BBC Gloucestershire commentator

It is going to be interesting to see if it is becoming increasingly difficult to bat on here.

We have the full effect of the floodlights and it is skidding through on more.

  19. Postpublished at 1 over

    Bears 0-0 v Glos 138

Straight away some swing for David Payne from the pavilion end.

Moeen punches the second ball in the air but just short of cover point.

He's then beaten twice outside off.

    An outstanding over.

The first maiden of all the quarter-finals.

  20. Player to watch - Sam Hain (Birmingham Bears)published at 20:31 British Summer Time 6 September

    Sam HainImage source, Getty Images

Sam Hain's total of 554 runs in 12 T20 Blast innings this season is exceeded only by Daniel Hughes of Sussex.

He has made six half-centuries, including a dazzling 98 not out off 48 balls as they beat Yorkshire by four runs at Headingley, without adding to his sole T20 hundred.

Hain signed off the group stage with 93 off 60 balls against Northants and will hope to pick up that form after a fairly quiet time, by his standards, in The Hundred for Trent Rockets.
