Warwickshire 266-6, target 339 to beat Durham

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

The last thing Warwickshire needed was a sloppy run-out and Ed Barnard was close there.

The throw was a direct hit at the stumps and Barnard was not in the camera shot.

I can't understand why he isn't out there.

No reviews in the county championship, remember...

  2. Postpublished at 16:41 British Summer Time 14 April

Hants 244-4 - target 377 to beat Surrey

A full ball from Dan Worrall and Nick Gubbins drives down the ground for four.

This still feels like a safety first approach from Hampshire, but might they have a dart if they still have six wickets in hand come the final hour of play?

  3. Postpublished at 16:41 British Summer Time 14 April

Warwickshire 266-6, target 339 to beat Durham

Only one slip in place and Michael Booth takes advantage with an expansive swipe at a shorter one from Matty Potts which catches a genuine edge but flies through the vacant third slip territory and away to the fence.

Warwickshire 262-6, target 339 to beat Durham

OOOOF. Who said no risks being taken? Almost a calamitous run-out.

Ed Barnard pulls a short ball away towards the rope and turns back for two as the ball comes in from Will Rhodes in the deep but Michael Booth is not coming.

Barnard tries to recover his ground before Colin Ackermann's throw from the other end breaks the stumps. He's safe according to the umpire. Phew.

Barnard then carves Ben Raine away to the deep extra cover boundary to compound the Durham misery.

    Barnard has 90*.

Warwickshire require 77 runs. Durham need four wickets.

  5. Postpublished at 16:38 British Summer Time 14 April

    Lancs 228 & 325-7 v Northants 496

Change of tactics now as Raphy Weatherall comes on with two fielders on the hook and a short leg.

An attempted leg glance is stopped at leg slip by Ricardo Vasconcelos.

Tom Bailey ducks under a bouncer to see out the over.

  6. Postpublished at 16:35 British Summer Time 14 April

Hants 238-4 - target 377 to beat Surrey

Toby Albert leans into a lovely drive to deep cover off Dan Worrall but it will only bring a single.

Worrall follows that up with an absolute peach that rips across Nick Gubbins off the seam.

A testing over from Jordan Clark as the ball keeps a bit low and Toby Albert carefully defends.

  7. Postpublished at 16:33 British Summer Time 14 April

Warwickshire 253-6, target 339 to beat Durham

Warwickshire need 85 runs and Alex Lees is tinkering with his field again.

Short of swapping the bails there's not much more he can do to conjure another wicket.

Ed Barnard is playing beautifully for his 84 and Michael Booth showed his batting credentials with 58* in the first innings.

Matty Potts is charging in, but the visitors need fewer than three an over and are happy to rotate strike when they can.

No risks being taken by the Bears.

  8. Record stand comes to an endpublished at 16:29 British Summer Time 14 April

Wrwickshire 252-6 need 87 to beat Durham

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

Having failed to take a wicket in the afternoon session, Durham managed to make the breakthrough in the third over after tea.

Ben Raine, who is often a partnership breaker, had the keeper come up to the stumps and got Kai Smith LBW for 62.

The 147 put on by Smith and Ed Barnard beat the sixth wicket record for Warwickshire v Durham. That was set by Dougie Brown and Nick Smith at Edgbaston in 1998. It was 132.

Is the balance of power about to sway again in this game?

In came Michael Booth who made 58* in the Warwickshire first innings. All four results remain a possibility.

  9. Five-wicket haul for Calvin Harrisonpublished at 16:29 British Summer Time 14 April

    Lancs 228 & 324-7 v Northants 496

Calvin Harrison's figures in this innings are now 46.2-10-110-5.

Rain stops play at Bristolpublished at 16:28 British Summer Time 14 April

Glamorgan 288-4 – lead Gloucestershire by 127 runs

We're off again, and this time it feels like they might not come back...

The game has been drifting for some time.

If it ends this way then with eight points for the draw Glos would pick up 15 points to Glamorgan's 13, having won the toss and put the hosts in on day one, remember, only to have to follow-on in reply to 546.

Cam Bancroft, Ollie Price and Colin Ingram all registered centuries in the match, but it looks destined to end in a soggy, murky draw.

    Balderson c Sales b Harrison 7 (Lancs 228 & 324-7 v Northants 496)

In the air and it's off the bat!

Tremendous catch for James Sales at short leg and Calvin Harrison has five wickets in the innings!

    Nine in the match.

George Balderson has nicked it into his pad trying to defend going forward and looped it up to Sales.

Tom Bailey will bat next. 56 in front. 25 overs left after this one.

  12. Postpublished at 16:25 British Summer Time 14 April

Hants 233-4 - target 377 to beat Surrey

Nick Gubbins appears to play and miss a ball that jags across him off the seam but Dan Worrall thinks he's nicked it.

A big appeal for caught behind is turned down.

Gubbins is unfazed and gets a four clipped to deep square leg.

  13. Warwickshire target into double figurespublished at 16:25 British Summer Time 14 April

Warwickshire 247-6, target 339 to beat Durham

Ed Barnard moves to 81* with a lovely straight drive off Brendan Doggett and his side are 91 runs away from victory.

33 overs left in the day.

    Four wickets needed.

This is what you came for, right?

  14. Postpublished at 16:22 British Summer Time 14 April

    Lancs 228 & 320-6 v Northants 496

Very much trial by spin at Old Trafford with Calvin Harrison bowling in tandem with Saif Zaib and four close catchers around the bat.

Shot! Width from Calvin Harrison and George Balderson drives a full half volley through cover for four.

52 in front now. 27 overs left.

200 up for Derbyspublished at 55 overs

    Derbys 393 & 203-3 (target 449) v Leics 484 & 357-9d

Wayne Madsen and Brooke Guest have reached 200 with a partnership of 45 as Derbys continue to not chase this target.

To be fair to the pair, although they are refusing to engage fully, they are enjoying themselves skipping along at over three and a half an over.

  16. Postpublished at 16:20 British Summer Time 14 April

Hants 225-4 - target 377 to beat Surrey

Toby Albert leaves Jordan Clark outside the off peg.

Albert blocks down the ground, then hits the fourth ball through the off side for a single.

One more to Gubbins with a flick to leg.

  17. 'They will pass a psychological milestone'published at 16:16 British Summer Time 14 April

Warwickshire 237-6 - target 339 to beat Durham

    Clive Eakin
    BBC CWR Sport

Ben Raine is the one to break this partnership.

It's a big wicket to go, playing across the line.

    It's just what Durham needed.

  18. Postpublished at 16:16 British Summer Time 14 April

    Lancs 228 & 313-6 v Northants 496

Four runs to Luke Wells, driving a tossed up ball from Calvin Harrison through the off side.

Saif Zaib tears through a maiden over at the other end and Harrison gets the ball to turn and fizz away from Wells.

Runs here though as Wells reverse sweeps for four.

    45 ahead.

  19. wicket

WICKETpublished at 16:13 British Summer Time 14 April

Smith lbw b Raine 62 (Warwickshire 237-6, target 339 to beat Durham)

    ANOTHER TWIST.

Ben Raine, so often the man to step up when he is needed, does so again,

Kai Smith steps back on his stumps and tries to play into the leg side but misses the ball and up goes the finger.

Big celebrations. Just what Durham needed.

    Now they need four more.

    Warwickshire need 102 runs.

Michael Booth comes in to join Ed Barnard, having made a half-century in the first innings.

  20. Postpublished at 16:13 British Summer Time 14 April

Hants 221-4 - target 377 to beat Surrey

Nick Gubbins survives a testing over from Jordan Clark, generating a bit more bounce with the new ball and he'll keep the strike with a very sharp single, just beating the throw of Dan Lawrence.

Dan Worrall will share the new ball duties.
