Summary

  1. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 18 overs

    Iftikhar c Brook b Jordan 21 (Pak 145-8)

    Big, big wicket.

The pressure tells on Iftikhar Ahmed, who was probably Pakistan's last chance of posting a competitive total.

He takes a big swing at Chris Jordan but it goes straight up in the air, and Harry Brook takes a smart catch at long-on.

Death, taxes and Chris Jordan making difficult chances look ridiculously easy.

That was a six height-wise as well.

    Michael Vaughan
Former England captain on BBC Two

That's a big blow. Much needed for Pakistan.

  5. 6 runs

    Pak 143-7published at 17 overs

    That'll help!

Naseem Shah whacks Adil Rashid down the ground for six to end the leg-spinner's spell.

It's been an impressive one, though. He finishes with 2-27.

Liam Livingstone's double-wicket maiden is only the fourth for England in a men's T20. Only the second by a spinner, the other was by Graeme Swann, also against Pakistan, in 2012.

  8. Pak 133-7published at 16 overs

It's not going to be easy against England's attack, though.

Jofra Archer gets through another tidy over.

  9. Pak 129-7published at 15.4 overs

Iftikhar Ahmed is going to have to some pretty heavy lifting if Pakistan are going to get up to a respectable total here.

  10. Pak 126-7published at 15 overs

Double wicket maiden! In a T20!

Liam Livingstone holds the pace back just a little bit, bowls into the pitch and Shaheen Afridi was through the shot far too early.

  12. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 14.3 overs

    Shaheen b Livingstone 0 (Pak 126-7)

And another! Pakistan are in danger of throwing this away.

A slower ball from Livingstone, and Shaheen Afridi goes for an almighty swipe but he's way too early through the shot.

The tall fast bowler has to make the long walk back for a two-ball duck.

In comparison to what I said about Adil Rashid's catch earlier, there was not a second I doubted Chris Jordan would catch that.

It was tough but he's a sensationally good fielder.

    England bowler on BBC Two

Chris Jordan has got great hands and he very rarely drops catches like that, which is invaluable in this form of the game.

  15. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 14.1 overs

    Usman c Jordan b Livingstone 38 (Pak 126-6)

Or not! Liam Livingstone gets the breakthrough.

Usman Khan tries to hit down the ground but Livingstone does well to drag the length back, and Chris Jordan takes a smart catch at long-on.

Usman goes for a valuable 38 from 21 balls.

  16. Pak 126-5published at 14 overs

Jordan recovers well. Just two singles end the over as Usman and Iftikhar get themselves ready for a big finish.

  17. Pak 124-5published at 13.4 overs

And again! Same shot, same result.

Chris Jordan brings in another fielder at short third, leaving an inviting gap on the leg side for the batters.

Again Usman Khan gives himself room to open up that off side that he really likes.

Deep in his crease as well and he just lets the ball come on and uses the pace.

Chris Jordan returns and is greeted by yet another dab down to third man by Usman Khan.

Bit of a trademark shot for him, by the looks.

Pakistan are trying to scrap their way to a good total. They are in a decent place still, it's just that they're five wickets down.
