    Durham 72-1 v Sussex 361

Jofra Archer gets his second bowl of the game - 0-11 from his opening four overs this morning.

He is being carefully managed by the Sussex skipper John Simpson (and probably the ECB).

His second ball is an in-swinging yorker which Will Rhodes jabs his bat down on just in time.

Not long after Dawid Malan retrieves the ball from the building site at Trent Bridge, Liam Patterson-White hits it into the stands once more.

Nottinghamshire continue on their merry way.

    S Curran b Waite 7 (Worcs 209 v Surrey 171-3)

One does bring two (see 14:00 BST).

Matthew Waite made 68 in the Worcestershire innings and now he has a wicket.

The seamer gets one through the defences of Sam Curran and the England all-rounder has to depart.

In comes Dan Lawrence on his return from injury.

  4. 6 runs

Postpublished at 14:12 British Summer Time 23 June

    Notts 481-9 v Yorkshire

Liam Patterson-White smashes Dan Moriarty into the building site at Trent Bridge.

    Patterson-White now has 81.

  5. 300 runs

300 up for Kentpublished at 14:12 British Summer Time 23 June

    Lancashire v Kent 303-5

A second batting point for Kent who are starting to cut loose now as Harry Finch crashes away a couple of boundaries to bring up the 300.

It's still going to take some bowling effort from either side to win this battle of Division Two's bottom two though, you fancy, so slow has the scoring rate been in general.

  6. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:10 British Summer Time 23 June

    Pretorius c Latham b Yates 1 (Warwickshire v Somerset 460-8)

Somerset love a collapse, even with 450+ on the board.

    Three wickets in eight balls!

Though in fairness this may do the game a favour, might actually help Somerset push for a win were they to be able to skittle a few Bears batters this afternoon.

Jack Leach in ahead of Matt Henry to join his captain.

  7. Postpublished at 14:09 British Summer Time 23 June

    Essex 296 v Hants 101-3

There's a slight delay at Chelmsford as the umpires call on the ground staff to look at some foot holes after Sam Cook complains.

They have come out with a shovel and a large brush - what a sport.

Maybe Charlie Fox could help, see 14:02...

  8. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:06 British Summer Time 23 June

Vaughan lbw Yates 14 (Warwickshire v Somerset 459-7)

    One brings two again!

Tom Kohler-Cadmore and Josh Davey fell one run apart on 186-0 and then 187-2.

Archie Vaughan now tries to sweep Rob Yates and the second part-time Bears spinner also gets a freebie wicket.

Craig Overton and Migael Pretorius batting together can never be dull, get ready to maybe catch the ball those of you reading in the stands!

  9. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:03 British Summer Time 23 June

    Pennington c&b Moriarty 61 (Notts 474-9 v Yorkshire)

A sharp caught and bowled effort from Dan Moriarty finally ends Nottinghamshire's productive ninth-wicket partnership.

Dillon Pennington's fun is over and Yorkshire are one step closer to finally batting.

  10. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:02 British Summer Time 23 June

    Banton c Davies b Bethell 26 (Warwickshire v Somerset 458-6)

Tom Banton runs down to Jacob Bethell and gifts him his first wicket, high in the air for a good running catch from mid on by Bears skipper Alex Davies.

Interim captain Craig Overton in ahead of Migael Pretorius again for Somerset.

    Leicestershire 63-0 v Glamorgan 353

Leicestershire mascot Charlie Fox has been doubling as groundsfox during lunch at Grace Road.

  12. Postpublished at 14:01 British Summer Time 23 June

    Notts 473-8 v Yorkshire

More of the same after the interval at Trent Bridge.

George Hill gets a bit too full to Dillon Pennington and the ball disappears back over his head for four.

Pennington has 61 - his highest first-class score.

    Burns c Roderick b Duffy 34 (Worcs 209 v Surrey 160-2)

Jacob Duffy appeals for a wicket for WorcestershireImage source, Getty Images

    Well, well, well...

Another Surrey batsman displays their anger at getting out.

Rory Patel miscued a pull shot to gift Worcestershire their first wicket and now Rory Burns has handed the home side their second scalp.

The Surrey skipper goes for a cut shot and gets a flick through to Gareth Roderick off Jacob Duffy.

Worcestershire need the cliche of 'one brings two' to play out now.

  14. 50 runs

50 partnership for the first wicketpublished at 13:57 British Summer Time 23 June

    Leicestershire 59-0 v Glamorgan 353

Sol Budinger (38*) punches a couple of boundaries to earn a fifty alliance with Rishi Patel (19*).

A terrific start to the afternoon from these two as Zain ul Hasan continues to bowl for Glamorgan, still no Ned Leonard with the ball oddly, let alone Mason Crane, Colin Ingram, Ben Kellaway et al.

  15. wicket

WICKETpublished at 13:56 British Summer Time 23 June

    Middleton c Walter b Harmer 61 (Essex 296 v Hants 96-3)

    A slightly bizarre dismissal.

Simon Harmer has a short, straight mid-on to Fletcha Middleton and the Hampshire batter flicks it straight to that man, who takes a very sharp catch.

There was some confusion as to whether it might have been a bump ball, but Middleton has to go for 61.

  16. Somerset will want to bank 600published at 13:55 British Summer Time 23 June

    Warwickshire v Somerset 446-5

    Mike Taylor
    BBC WM commentator

You could forgive Corey Rocciccioli’s indulgence in raising an arm in triumph when Tom Abell pulled him to midwicket, for his first wicket in England. It had cost him 104 runs, 17 of them in that over.

Flying halfway round the world to come straight into the Warwickshire team, as a specialist with the Kookaburra ball, as a proven talent in Australian first-class cricket, he would have been confident of a better start than that, but he was by no means the only bowler to suffer on a pitch not offering them much.

Tom Lammonby cruised past his previous first-class best, and the game only changed gear when Somerset appeared to have a late punt on getting all five batting points. The surge carried them past 400 but cost them the wickets of both Abell and Lammonby, chipping Ethan Bamber to mid-off, so they gave up the extra point for fear of putting their long-term aims at risk.

There seemed to be a hint of turn for Rocciccioli, and for Rob Yates in an over just before lunch. Perhaps there will be more help for the spinners as time passes, but Somerset will surely want to bank the better part of 600 this afternoon to exert the most pressure on Warwickshire before then.

I had a busy lunchtime; wolfing down a couple plates whilst listening to new structure chats from the Warwickshire CEO, then examining the pitch, then chatting with Somerset bowling coach Steve Kirby.

Here is the wicket at lunch on day two, I have commented enough on it the past 36 hours, now is time for you to let us know your thoughts, feel free to #getinvolved #bbcricket

BBC Sport's Ask Me Anything team have been asking for your questions...

Here's one on how the scoring scoring system works in the County Championship.

How do points work in the County Championship?

In the County Championship, the maximum number of points a team can earn in one match is 24 points.

The winning team is awarded 16 points, while the losers are earn none for the result. Draws and a tie give teams eight points each.

On top of that, teams can earn up to eight additional bonus points based on their batting and bowling performances in the first innings of the match, even if the team goes on to lose the match.

During the first innings, a team can earn up to five batting bonus points, starting at 250 runs and maxing out at 450 or more.

When a team is bowling, it can earn up to three additional points depending on how many wickets are taken.

On they go, relentlessly and the champions pass the 150 mark.

Worcestershire were eight down at the same stage of their innings.

It's difficult to see a way back for the home side - rain dance anyone?

    Just what Sussex needed.
