  1. Roy living charmed lifepublished at 35 balls

Men's competition: Southern Brave 34-1 against Trent Rockets

Jason Roy is having a fair bit of luck in Nottingham.

In our last update we said Joe Root had spilled a blinder at backward point, and now Tom Moores has missed the chance to stump Roy.

The Brave batter attempted a big shot off Reham Ahmed but Moores wasn't able to gather cleanly and took the bails off the stumps without the ball in hand, and Roy was able to get back.

If I was Meg Lanning and I was the best player, I might have been reviewing that. It might have been worth having a little look.

A calamity of errors! But that was well bowled, what a response from Katie Levick. A huge wicket for the Welsh Fire.

  6. Invincibles 41-1published at 25 balls

Gorgeous shot from Meg Lanning, who opens the face to Georgia Davis and threads it wide of the fielder at short third for four.

Lanning picks up two more boundaries off Davis - via a thump past cover and a chop through the slips.

  7. Rockets on top after powerplaypublished at 25 balls

Men's competition: Southern Brave 18-1 against Trent Rockets

    Almost brilliant from Joe Root!

Jason Roy plays a full-blooded cut shot and Root flies to his left at backward point and almost takes a one-handed stunner.

He's got it in his grasp but the ball just pops out as he makes contact with the ground.

Just two boundaries from the powerplay as Rockets are restricted to 18.

  10. Invincibles 17-1published at 15 balls

Boom! This is more like it from Alice Capsey.

Shabnim Ismail drops it short and wide and Capsey powerfully cuts it the boundary for four.

Next ball Ismail is too straight and Capsey pull it for four.

Capsey makes it three consecutive fours with an effortless flick off her toes to the rope.

First ball of the game and Shabnim Ismail gets rid of the skipper. Lauren Winfield-Hill looks like she might have just nipped back, there was no real foot movement. It catches her on the crease and she just drags it onto the stumps. Perfect start for the Fire.
