That boundary relieves some pressure on Kira Chathli. She has been very slow off the blocks in The Hundred, scoring at a strike rate of just 82 in the first 10 balls of her innings.

That is poor. That is not helping your bowler.

The kind of sloppiness you see in a team which has not won a game this season.

Kira Chathli sends new baller Cassidy McCarthy's third delivery to the boundary.

She then runs a single towards deep backward square to move to double figures.

Only five runs from McCarthy's first set.

  4. Spirit 8-0published at 95 balls left

    142 runs needed

Just one run from the final three deliveries of Alexa Stonehouse's first set.

But Georgia Redmayne is off the mark with a single.

I would be trying a slower ball into the surface to see if you can find that grip.

  6. Spirit 7-0published at 97 balls left

    143 runs needed

Alexa Stonehouse oversteps for a no-ball and Spirit have a free-hit.

But the Trent Rockets pacer recovers, bowling a yorker that is just dug out by Gerogia Redmayne.

  7. Spirit 4-0published at 99 balls left

    146 runs needed

That's a good start for Spirit.

Kira Chathli edges the first ball from Alexa Stonehouse and the ball runs away to the boundary.

Right, we are almost ready to get going again.

Spirit openers Georgia Redmayne and Kira Chathli have emerged through the fireworks and are set to get this run chase under way.

  9. Postpublished at 16:20 British Summer Time

But Trent Rockets will feel confident of opening their account in The Hundred here, after two defeats in two.

Their total of 149 looks a very competitive total at Lord's.

  10. Postpublished at 16:17 British Summer Time

London Spirit have enjoyed a good day on the field, especially Danielle Gibson.

She took two catches for her side today, including this one to remove Trent Rockets opener Bryony Smith.

That was the ninth half-century for Nat Sciver-Brunt in The Hundred, joint most with Danni Wyatt-Hodge.

    Thanks, Ffion.

The momentum kept swinging one way and then the other during that innings, didn't it!

Rockets would have wished for more on the board after a good start but what a brilliant performance with the ball from Eva Gray to rein them in.

  13. Postpublished at 16:09 British Summer Time

After a rapid opening stand between Bryony Smith and Nat Wraith, a fifty for Nat Sciver-Brunt and figures of 4-19 for Eva Gray, London Spirit will be chasing 150 to win to keep their winning streak alive.

And that's my cue to hand you over to Adwaidh Rajan for the chase.

  14. 6 runs

    Rockets 149-6published at 100 balls

Nat Sciver-Brunt finishes it in style!

She whacks Charlie Dean down the ground for six to reach her half-century from 29 balls and Rockets finish with a decent total, but after their flying start they'd have hoped for more.

Spirit fought back excellently with the ball.

  15. Rockets 141-6published at 97 balls

Edged for four by Grewcock, and she then takes the single.

That's a decent result for Rockets, all things considered.

  16. Rockets 136-5published at 95 balls

Outstanding death bowling from Issy Wong.

Nat Sciver-Brunt can only get a single and that means Jodi Grewcock will be on strike with five balls to go.

Sarah Glenn has taken some outstanding catches this Hundred. She's improved her fielding so much.

    Another great grab!

Short and wide from Issy Wong, probably should be hit for four, but Alana King slashes it straight to Sarah Glenn at point. That was hit firmly and she's done very well to cling on.

Rockets have lost all their momentum.

  19. Postpublished at 16:01 British Summer Time

4-19 from Eva Gray are the best figures for any London Spirit pacer in The Hundred and the second-best for any Spirit bowler after Melie Kerr's 4-14 against the Phoenix in 2023.

  20. Rockets 133-5published at 91 balls

10 balls to go and Nat Sciver-Brunt needs to face most of them.

    Two off Issy Wong's first.
