This is a team that have never lost to London Spirit! Trent Rockets have started so well. I don't think Spirit have bowled well and Trent Rockets have capitalised on that.

  2. 6 runs

    Rockets 44-0published at 22 balls

    My word!

What did Bryony Smith have for lunch? In the slot from Issy Wong, but she has absolutely launched that over mid-wicket for six.

  3. Rockets 34-0published at 20 balls

I said that Rockets' middle order needed a platform today and these two are finally providing.

Nat Wraith thumps Eva Gray down the ground for four more!

A great start for Trent Rockets.

If I was Charlie Dean I would be coming around the wicket, especially to Bryony Smith who loves the room.

  5. Rockets 27-0published at 15 balls

    Hello!

After a slow start, these two are starting to find their rhythm.

Too short from Charlie Dean, and three times out of five, Bryony Smith absolutely smokes them through the off-side for four.

Lovely timing but it's really poor bowling from Dean.

I don't think I have seen Nat Wraith open the batting in such a long time!

It's not a bad ball which has been hit for six. A lovely shot down the ground.

  7. 6 runs

    Rockets 13-0published at 10 balls

Now then, here's spinner Bex Tyson on her Hundred debut. She's straight into the action, drawing the edge from Nat Wraith but it flies past the keeper for four.

There's nothing unlucky about the next one though - slammed down the ground for six! Great shot from Wraith and a bit of pressure put back on Spirit.

As a batter you're probably kicking yourself about missing that first one!

Sarah Glenn's fielding has improved so much. She is fielding in such a tough position on the mat.

It was an awful set of five deliveries and Issy Wong has got away with it!

It feels as though the line needs to be a touch straighter than that.

  10. Rockets 1-0published at 5 balls

Again, too short but Wong gets away with it as Bryony Smith's crunching drive finds Sarah Glenn at cover.

Feels a bit like Wong has got away with it there!

London Spirit have opted to bowl first in each of the five games when they have won the toss at Lord's. They have won three and lost one previously. Trent Rockets, on the other hand, have won both their games at Lord's and are the only visiting team to have an unbeaten record at the venue.

  12. Rockets 0-0published at 1 ball

A bit wide from Issy Wong to start, but Bryony Smith can't capitalise.

    A swing and a miss.

In this competition you probably need five wins to get through to the finals. As a team you can't lose the first three matches as you then need to win everything else.

Charlie Dean gathers her side for a pre-match huddle as Rockets openers Bryony Smith and Nat Wraith make their way to the middle.

They have a powerful middle order with Ash Gardner and Nat Sciver-Brunt but they'll need a solid platform to get themselves going, something that's been lacking so far.

One of the most important contributors to London Spirit's form has been Australia's Grace Harris, who has 157 runs from three innings - second only to her former international skipper Meg Lanning, who was 177 for the Oval Invincibles.

She'll be key in Spirit's chase later on, while Rockets also have three brilliant Aussies in their side - Ash Gardner, Heather Graham and Alana King.

  17. London Spirit win the toss and bowl firstpublished at 14:48 British Summer Time

Spirit's quest to go top of the table starts well, as Charlie Dean wins the toss and they're going to have a bowl.

The sun is shining at Lord's, so it doesn't look like we'll have any concerns about the weather today.
