    Green c & b Capsey 18 (NZ 128-5)

    Taken just above the ground!

Maddy Green toe-ends Alice Capsey's full toss straight back to Alice Capsey, who snaffles the ball.

Green stays in her crease for a moment to ask if the ball has been cleanly taken, but then walks off - a soft dismissal for New Zealand.

Thanks Sam, find out I will.

Maddy Green cuts Sophia Dunkley's first ball away for four, with the rest of the over going for a couple of singles.

England are turning the screw in the middle overs. It will be interesting to see how they will navigate this without Sophie Ecclestone.

It is not an ideal situation for them.

  4. NZ 118-4published at 26 overs

Lovely drive through extra cover by Maddy Green and the ball races away for the first boundary in 57 deliveries.

That makes it a better over for New Zealand, seven from it in total.

What can England restrict them to from here? Mike Peter is here to take you through the rest of the innings and find out.

Sophia Dunkley has bowled better than some of the real bowlers today. She is getting a good length but it is whether she could be consistent all the time.

  6. NZ 111-4published at 25 overs

Sophia Dunkley continues with her part-time leg-spin.

Five singles from the over to take us to the halfway point of the innings.

New Zealand will feel they are in the game and will want 280.

Sophia Dunkley needs to step up here with Sophie Ecclestone going off.

Approaching the halfway stage of the innings and England will be thrilled.

They'll know they didn't bowl well in the powerplay to say the least but they've pulled things back well through their spinners.

Sophie Ecclestone's injury will be a real concern, though.

Meanwhile, New Zealand have time to rebuild and get up to a competitive total on a stoppy pitch.

'Not a good sign' - Ecclestone tries to battle through shoulder injury

Sophie Ecclestone has done what England wanted in taking that wicket but she was not comfortable and the wicket ball is her last.

She heads off the field for more treatment on that troublesome shoulder and Sophia Dunkley finishes the over with a couple of her leggies.

Probably the smart call from England not to risk making Ecclestone's injury worse with the semi-final against South Africa on Wednesday.

Sophia Dunkley nearly over-ran it but she has become a safe pair of hands in this tournament.

That will feel good for Sophie Ecclestone. It hasn't been that easy to bat on this pitch and when players have tried to hit in the air, it hasn't come onto the bat.

Sophie Ecclestone strikes in her first over! Not a lot of emotion from her but a great wicket.

    Halliday c Dunkley b Ecclestone 4 (NZ 101-4)

Comfortable or not, Sophie Ecclestone takes wickets!

Tossed up by the left-arm spinner and Brooke Halliday gets out the slog-sweep.

The ball comes off the top-edge, though, and sails out to Sophia Dunkley at deep mid-wicket.

    Big wicket for England.

Key battle here between the two sides best players: Ecclestone v Devine.

So far in ODI cricket, Devine has had the better of Ecclestone, who has dismissed her just twice in 12 innings:

    • 175 balls
    • 118 runs
    • Two wickets

Sophie Ecclestone is really struggling. She's clearly not comfortable and is grimacing after every ball.

She's not getting the same pace or revs on the ball as usual.

    A leg-side wide brings up New Zealand's 100.

Hasn't Charlie Dean bowled well? She's just been that consistency and rock for England during this tournament.

For Nat Sciver-Brunt to know she's got someone she can just throw the ball to and get 10 overs out of her, is such a luxury to have.

  16. NZ 97-3published at 22 overs

    Three from Charlie Dean's latest.

This is a good spell for England, they've dragged things back after a ragged start in the powerplay.

And the news keeps getting better for them because Sophie Ecclestone is going to be fit to bowl - and will bowl the next over.

What a player Sophie Devine is. She has just continued to improve.

We speak about longevity and it is that mental capacity to keep wanting to improve, expand your game and get stronger to take the game to the opposition. She keeps doing that.

Those two wickets have certainly lessened England's need to use Sophie Ecclestone quickly.

Might they try and avoid using their star spinner today so she can rest that shoulder?

Don't know what I'm talking about? Here is what happened early on in the innings...

  19. NZ 94-3published at 21 overs

Very nicely bowled by Alice Capsey.

Flighted delivery on off stump and it just stops in the pitch as Brooke Halliday pushes at it.

The ball pops up off a leading edge but falls short of Nat Sciver-Brunt at a catching cover position.

  20. NZ 91-3published at 20 overs

Replays show just how good that ball from Charlie Dean was.

It pitched outside off, spun in to the right-hander and was going on to hit two-thirds of the way up middle.

Sophie Devine, in her final ODI appearance, has to guide New Zealand through a rebuild. She has left-hander Brooke Halliday for company in the middle.
