Pratika Rawal falls pulling to fine leg! She hit it well, somewhere near the middle, but has timed the ball straight into Ellyse Perry's hands.

Pratika Rawal offers you consistency, which is phenomenal and similar to Smriti Mandhana, as they are impact players. The consistency is what India wants and needs, especially as both are opening batters.

  3. Ind 192-1published at 30 overs

    Rawal 75, Deol 20

Well if you double the score at 30 overs, as the old theory goes, then India are on for a monster score.

Deol slog sweeps, and it was in the air for a bit, but just short of the fielder as Deol helps herself to four more runs.

A chance for a diving Beth Mooney in the deep! She just can't make up the ground. Four more to Hareel Deol on the sweep.

  6. Ind 183-1published at 29 overs

There are loads of factors in this obviously but it's interesting to see a bigger crowd for this World Cup match than the India men's Test going on in Delhi against West Indies.

Australia's tricky day continues as Alyssa Healy lets one through her legs and goes on to clatter into the helmet behind her. Five penalty runs.

Australia have only managed one wicket so far. This was it.

Pratika Rawal seems like she will be the glue that holds the Indian innings together. Should she remain at the crease, the following batters can come in and express themselves.

  9. Ind 177-1published at 28 overs

    Rawal 73, Deol 13

These two teams met in an ODI series before this tournament and in the first match India scored 281 and Australia chased it down inside 45 overs for the loss of two wickets. The hosts look set for far more than that today and they'll likely need it.

Deol has launched this over long off. India are on the charge again after realising that a really good platform has been set.

Pumped into the stands by Harleen Deol! She isn't going to leave it to the others. She's going to do the attacking herself.

    Thanks Tim.

I did wonder whether India would tinker with their order to continue the charge. They have Harmanpreet Kaur, Jemimah Rodrigues and even the big-hitting and in-form Richa Ghosh in the hutch.

Harleen Deol's job is not to go big early; there is plenty of time in the India innings. She can afford to take her time, get settled in and then go big later on. It is also a very good opportunity for Australia here.

Breathless stuff from India. Will that wicket give Australia a bit of belief?

Sophie Molineux has had a tough time today, but she gets the breakthrough of Smriti Mandhana. This was desperately needed by Australia. On very few occasions have they been challenged, but they certainly were by these Indian opening batters.

Harleen Deol is the new batter and she's off the mark with a single.

A brilliant first 25 overs from India.

It was acceptable in the eighties.

Smriti Mandhana heaves a beleaguered Sophie Molineux into the leg side with a slog sweep but cannot quite the distance this time and Phoebe Litchfield manages to hold the catch.

A blistering innings from the India opener, off 66 balls, comes to an end.

Perhaps a touch of over confidence but given how she played you cannot fault Mandhana - she's got India off to an absolute flyer here.
